Pagliacci Pizza - Eastgate
A new level of Brillance
The Pagliacci Pizzeria in Bellevue’s Eastgate neighborhood is a stylish new location designed by Floisand Studio Architects. The project showcases a blend of modern design and innovation, combining aesthetics with functionality. The standout feature of the project is Danpal’s Ventilated Rainscreen System (VRS) – a translucent lightweight panel-based cladding solution that raises the building’s design to a new level of brilliance.

Artistic Integration
The design needed to blend aesthetic appeal with practical functionality to create a welcoming environment both inside and outside the building. The exterior required a cladding solution that could offer the nighttime illumination. A combination that would transform the building into a highly recognizable landmark for local pizza lovers. Additionally, the system would need to provide long-term durability, full UV protection, and robust resistance to all weather conditions, ensuring the façade will stand the test of time.
Floisand Studio Architects skillfully implemented the inclusion of the VRS Cladding System, which comprises translucent Danpalon microcell panels, to create a dynamic aesthetic that casts evolving shadows during the day and transforms into an illuminated beacon at night. This design element added depth and character to the building while seamlessly blending with the surrounding urban landscape. The scrim’s underside tapers into a sharp angle, a sculptural detail that mirrors angular design elements found in other Pagliacci locations.
“Danpal’s VRS was easy to use, and totally surpassed our expectations”
