Danpal recently held its latest biennial Danpal Latin American Conference 2019, brilliantly hosted, with the help of our extended Danpal family in the Dominican Republic. The conference, which ran between the 03 to the 06 June 2019, was well-attended by our partners from 9 different countries. The venue for this year’s conference, chosen by Danpal, was the centrally located resort town, of Punta Cana.
The beaches of Punta Cana, are renowned for their picture-perfect quality and remain a world-wide drawcard. Our 24 delegates, however, were gathered together and focused for three days of training, expertly presented by our team from Danpal. The three days ran from 09h00 each morning and was kept on schedule, with the help of our regional manager from Chile, Paula Abrigo. During this time we also shared our experiences in marketing our brand and together generated new ideas on how to best grow market share.
We boldly kicked off our conference with a brief but much needed introductory presentation, delivered expertly by Paula. This was then followed by technical presentations on our more advanced solutions, based on standard Danpal systems. The importance of these presentations cannot be over-emphasized, as an intimate knowledge of our systems, is crucial for their correct implementation. This lead on to a more detailed focus on our newer systems, such as the new Danpatherm RK7 Roofing and Everbright Roofing Solutions. Our chief-engineer, Israel Wielgus, was as usual on top form, providing us, his blend of technical information – peppered with his own brand of humor.
There were several impressive case-studies presented by our members from Mexico, Chile, Colombia, The Dominican Republic, Argentina, and Costa Rica. These projects demonstrated the successful use of various Danpal building envelope solutions, for both facades and roofs. All in all, it was an impressive display of Danpalon 3DLITE, Danpalon Compact, NM and even Danpatherm K7 systems featuring integrated LED’s.
On day three, we took the time to re-focus on marketing, an essential element, necessary for any successful business. Our LATAM area manager, Paula Abrigo, once again took center stage and presented on our latest focus and the digital tools that we rely on to reach our global market base. These marketing tools and the processes we have implemented, provide the backbone of our current efforts. During these presentations, we encouraged our extended Danpal family from across Latin America, to engage with us as we proposed the inclusion of these technologies.
It was not all hard work and presentations however, as evenings were spent networking with our counterparts at the welcoming La Cana Steak House. The eatery takes its name from the sugar cane crops that surround the town of La Romana, and provided the perfect backdrop, for time spent liaising with colleagues. All in all, it was a pleasure using the time getting to know and network with all of our various delegates.
A few key points were made clear to us, during this time we set-aside and spent together. Amongst them, Danpal recognizes the need more than ever, to provide our global distributors and partners, localized support. Sometimes, this can mean adapting to the needs of each market’s customs, languages, and regulations. Importantly, this conference also gave us the opportunity to engage with our valued global family, and to reaffirm our message of Light Architecture. Finally, we can confidently report back, that whilst all who attended, provided us with invaluable feedback. All who attended also learned more about how we can all work together to continue to grow our global market share. – Adios, y hasta la proxima!
