How Does Polycarbonate Roofing Provide Shade With Color?

To all who wonder, “does polycarbonate roofing provide shade” the answer is that a skylight shading system is uniquely designed to offer protection from the sun even while admitting natural light inside. The reduction in the effects of the sun does create a degree of shading, along with the UV protection for which even a single polycarbonate roofing panel in clear format is justly well known. A colored façade with different tints can provide different levels of shading, but the broader purpose of polycarbonate plastic roof panels, such as what can be seen in a greenhouse, is for the optimum light transmission that controls the effects of the sun.

How Does Polycarbonate Roofing Provide Shade?

Polycarbonate roofing systems offers a tremendous amount of versatility, so how much shade is provided depends upon the system that you choose.

For instance, you might choose a polycarbonate roofing system for your patio so that you get protection from harmful UV rays while you’re sitting outside, but you’re still able to enjoy the sunlight that comes in. Translucent polycarbonate roofing that blocks out close to 100 percent of the UV rays isn’t stingy with the sunshine. UV rays, as we know, can lead to skin cancer if we don’t shield ourselves from the danger. But there are many benefits to sunlight which are also important to consider. Sunlight is a source of Vitamin D, something that we all need. In the fall and winter, when sunlight is more scarce and darkness predominates, many people suffer from seasonal affective disorder or SAD. Natural light has been shown to improve our moods so that we feel more optimistic and productive.

Tinted polycarbonate roof panels are a fairly recent development in the building industry. These colored polycarbonate sheets with a special coating reflect infrared radiation outward. The right finish eases the glare of the sun so that the interior space still has sufficient lighting even though it’s more evenly dispersed.

There are clear versions of polycarbonate that are as transparent as glass, but weigh half as much and are a lot easier to work with. And when you decide that tinted plastic roof panels are the way to go, you reap these rewards of working with polycarbonate.

Skylight Shading Systems To Balance The Natural Light

Finding the ideal balance between sunlight and shade is a matter of personal preference. Some people like to be in a room that seems to glow with natural light; others prefer a balance. What no one wants is glare, and reducing glare is one of the key features of a skylight shading system.
Having a built-in polycarbonate skylight dome in the structure can provide the natural light you crave without the glare that comes with having too much of a good thing.

Danpal has mastered the formula for providing a balance between sunlight and shade. The Danpal translucent skylight system, which can be installed on both commercial and residential spaces, provides a happy medium for those who love the sunshine, and those who love the shade, while sharing the same interior spaces.

How Does Polycarbonate Roofing Provide Shade Using Colored Facades?

Colored polycarbonate sheets are the perfect marriage of performance and esthetics. Color adds so much to the appearance of a structure, defining a building as modern or traditional, bold or neutral. When color brings its beauty to the function of polycarbonate, the result is a blend of light and color that influences the shading. Thanks to the adaptations provided by cutting-edge technology, a smart façade can even adapt to the conditions of the environment as it controls the output and input of heat while controlling ventilation and maximizing natural light.

As a building material, polycarbonate is valued because of its high quality, its durability, its light weight, its resistance to UV rays, and its ability to withstand extreme temperatures. As the sentry standing guard over the amount of light and shade that comes inside, a skylight shading system with colored polycarbonate gives you the best of the natural world and the best of what technology has created.

What Is Polycarbonate Roofing And Why Is It The Right Choice?

What Is Polycarbonate Roofing?

If you have plans to install a new roof, and you need to decide what roofing material is the best choice, it’s likely that you’ve been asking, “what is polycarbonate roofing?” Polycarbonate is a lightweight material that comes in a variety of colors, is capable of withstanding both very high and very low temperatures, and is easily installed. If you’re in the market for a roof over your deck, patio, or conservatory, you may already have learned how effective polycarbonate roofing panels will be in providing shelter from the elements.

What Is Polycarbonate Roofing Used For?

Polycarbonate roofing sheets come in various forms to be applied for different purposes. Foam-backed polycarbonate roof panels are commonly used in structures with slightly sloped roofs such as sheds and carports. Because polycarbonate roofing systems are flexible, the installation process is simple and doesn’t take a lot of time.

Foam-backed polycarbonate roofing sheets, because of their strong insulating properties, are a favorite for factories and warehouses, and other industrial buildings, because the interior will remain warm in the cold weather. They also have an advantage in the hot weather because of the protective coating that reflects ultraviolet rays.

Polycarbonate roofing panels in clear form can serve both an effective and an esthetic purpose when installed where natural light comes in through the roof. Danpal’s famed daylighting architecture enables sunrooms and patios to perform at their best. If you want to have an outdoor area where natural light is present and glare is not, then polycarbonate plastic roof panels will incorporate nature into the décor.

If you’re wondering what makes a polycarbonate roof system attractive, you’ll understand when you see the array of colors that are available. The options for polycarbonate are an artist’s palette, and you’re the one who gets to select the colors.

Why Are Polycarbonate Roofing Systems So Popular?

Whether a roof covers a warehouse, a sun porch, or a shed, it’s going to take a beating from the elements. The roof is the first line of defense for any building: in order for the interior of the structure to stay dry, the polycarbonate roof panels above it need to withstand pounding hail, torrential rain, howling winds, heavy snow, and intense heat and sunlight. It’s no wonder that polycarbonate is highly regarded for its durability.
Polycarbonate is sturdy enough to be used in the making of bullet-proof shields. That’s conclusive proof that polycarbonate roofing panels are able to withstand the mighty forces that extreme weather brings.

Polycarbonate plastic roof panels win the contest when weather is the opponent in other ways as well. Not only are they resistant to the weather variables, but as the years go by, polycarbonate is a material that doesn’t fade or distort.

Installing polycarbonate roofing systems is easy! Polycarbonate is light in weight and flexible, which makes it perfect for those Do-It-Yourselfers who enjoy doing their own home projects. You can use a handsaw to cut polycarbonate roof panels.

The Cost Of A Polycarbonate Roof System

It’s true that polycarbonate is a more costly building material than some of the others on the market. However, when you consider the durability of polycarbonate and how much homeowners save with roofing that is so resistant to damage, you can see that, in the long run, polycarbonate is the more economical option. Easier installation is another means by which choosing polycarbonate roofing sheets translates into easy on your wallet.

If you still have questions about the superior merits of polycarbonate roof systems, contact the nearest Danpal representative. You’ll get honest, accurate answers to help you make your decision. When you ask a Danpal representative, “What is polycarbonate roofing?” you’re going to like the answer!

Polycarbonate Answers The Question: What Is The Best Clear Roofing Material?

Someone who’s planning a home project and wants to know what is the best clear roofing material might mistakenly assume the answer is glass. However, glass has significant drawbacks which make it inferior to polycarbonate. When it’s time to choose clear roof panels for a particular building project, you should consider the advantages of polycarbonate because of its marvelous daylighting properties.

What Is The Best Clear Roofing Material for Natural Light?

Unlike most building materials, polycarbonate is clear, making it uniquely suited for incorporating natural light into the interior spaces. Perhaps your first response is, “But glass is also clear. What makes polycarbonate superior to glass?”

Polycarbonate roofing panels in clear form aren’t superior simply because natural light can enter within, although that’s definitely an asset. Because polycarbonate is a thermoplastic material, it’s very flexible and easy to work with. Its light weight makes it easy to transport. These features are time savers in the process of completing a building project. Time savers are also money savers.

What Is The Most Durable Clear Roofing Material?

How long do you want your roofing system to last? As long as possible, right? You want your clear roofing panels to last longer than a season of winter snow and cold, rainstorms, hot summer heat, and destructive hail. Because polycarbonate is so durable, it has the strength to withstand the wild weather. While clear roofing sheets are effectively presenting a barrier that keeps out the adverse elements, they’re also letting in natural light. Strong enough to stop weather, clear enough to bring in daylight. That’s the charm of clear roof sheeting.

What Is The Best Clear Roofing Material For Your Happiness And Health?

You might never have considered whether your choice of building material can have an effect on your wellbeing. There’s a trait that people all over the world share, and that’s the appreciation for sunlight. Danpal, which has a business presence on five continents, knows quite a bit about climate. There’s just something about natural light that makes us feel better. Architects know it too, and that’s why they’ve begun to rely on polycarbonate roofing panels in clear designs so that Danpal’s daylighting architecture can flourish. A prized building design is a whole lot more than just placing a roof on top of a structure. The building can bring a sense of harmony between occupants and structure. With a solid polycarbonate sheet as part of the roofing system, the outdoors comes inside.

There’s actual scientific proof that exposure to natural light is good for us. If you spend your workdays inside a cubicle, with no access to windows at all, you know how glad you are when it’s time to leave and you’re free to go outside and savor the sunshine for a little while. We tend to underestimate the power of sunlight, but anytime you’re inside, but underneath clear roof sheeting, you realize how much Mother Nature’s sunlight benefits you.

Exposure to sunlight leads the brain to produce serotonin. Low levels of serotonin can lead to depression and other conditions. Architects have responded to this information by designing structures that incorporate daylight from outside into the internal spaces.

Now you can see why using clear roofing panels make such a difference. Doesn’t everyone want the best of both worlds that polycarbonate delivers? Strong but light. Flexible but durable. Whether you choose a roof made of polycarbonate sheeting that’s transparent, semi-transparent, or opaque, you’re getting a product that’s far superior to glass. When making your decision on a roof, choose the system that brings sunlight into the design.

How Long Do Polycarbonate Roof Panels Last In Sun?

Danpal knows that in order for a building to be able to withstand the elements, its roofing needs to be stronger than the weather. It’s natural, when thinking of harsh weather, to immediately picture the winds, the snow, the rain and storms and the hail, as a roof’s main enemy. But what about the sun? There’s a lot of heat coming out of the sky, as, day after day in the hot weather months, the sun’s rays beat down upon the roof. Danpal’s engineers and designers have shown how effective polycarbonate roof panels can be in the contest between roofs and weather. But consumers are curious: is polycarbonate really the best choice for roofing material, and just how long do polycarbonate roof panels last in sun?

Polycarbonate Roof Panels And Extreme Hot And Cold Weather

The length of time that polycarbonate roof panels will last depends upon the maintenance that the roof is given, and the kind of weather that it’s exposed to. If a roof is well maintained, it can last between 10 to 20 years before it’s going to need to be replaced. There are even instances where the polycarbonate roof panels have lasted 30 years. Polycarbonate has the capability to resist extreme temperatures, both cold and hot. That feature makes polycarbonate roof panels particularly effective in climate zones all over the world.

If the building is located in a cold weather climate, where winters are harsh, the roofing panels may need replacing on a more frequent basis. Polycarbonate roofs often come with an extended warranty from the manufacturer, which attests to the durability of this popular building material.

Why Polycarbonate Roof Panels Are The Best Choice

Polycarbonate probably isn’t the first material that comes to mind if you’re in the market for a new roof. If you live in a region where hot weather is punishing, you should definitely consider the merits of polycarbonate. But in today’s climate-conscious world, where ecological responsibility is a priority for consumers, isn’t it time to consider choosing a roofing material that reflects your environmental priorities? Just because slate, asphalt, cement and wood are the more traditional roofing materials doesn’t mean that they’re the best choices for today’s architecture. In fact, as we do our best to help reduce our carbon footprint and keep our planet healthy, we’ve discovered that building materials can also play a vital role in this environmental rescue mission.

Polycarbonate is light in weight, so it’s easy to work with. It’s flexible. It’s cost-effective. It’s also uniquely designed to withstand weather. You’ve seen polycarbonate in conservatories and greenhouses but you might not have realized why it’s used so often in those structures? Polycarbonate, a thermoplastic, was originally used in these buildings because plants need to be able to thrive in a temperature-controlled atmosphere. It didn’t take long before architects realized that polycarbonate roofing panels that enable plants to thrive are also good for people.

Polycarbonate Roof Panels Are The Smart Money Choice

Unlike glass, polycarbonate is easy to customize. It can be shaped and re-sized onsite, which is a tremendous asset for construction crews. It doesn’t just come in various sizes, but it’s also available in different colors, which adds to its visual appeal. Get the roof system you need in order to be comfortable no matter what part of the world you live in. Sunny summers, freezing winters, and everything between, that’s the polycarbonate roof panel option.

Weather is weather and sun is sun, no matter if a building is commercial and residential. Isn’t it good to know that with polycarbonate roof panels, you can work and live in a structure that’s fortified by Danpal innovation?

Polycarbonate Roofing Gives All-Season Protection

If you want a roof that offers the natural light of the outside world while you still enjoy those indoor comforts like protection from the elements, you’re ready for a polycarbonate roof. In the past, roofing was made of materials that shielded occupants from wind, rain, and snow, but couldn’t offer natural illumination. Technological advances have led to the creation of polycarbonate, an innovative building material that tells Mother Nature when she can enter and when she must stay outside. If you want to learn more about how polycarbonate roofing can enhance your interior living and working space, the building experts at Danpal can help you.

Four Reasons To Install Polycarbonate Roofing

Polycarbonate is light in weight, making it easy to transport, handle, and install. This feature makes polycarbonate roofing an economical choice as well as a practical and esthetic decision. With less labor required in the process, time and money are both saved.

Weather rules the skies, but with polycarbonate roofing, there’s resistance to the impact of hail, snow, wind, and rain. Polycarbonate is extremely durable and capable of withstanding the forces of nature.

Polycarbonate roofing isn’t just a shield against harsh, cold weather. It also protects against the sun’s harmful UV rays. When UV rays aren’t allowed to penetrate the roofing, interior spaces can stay cooler even when it’s hot outside. They can also retain indoor heat when the weather is cold. The benefits to your energy bills will be quickly apparent. What’s equally important is the benefit to the environment. Less energy is used and the building’s carbon footprint is minimized.

While plastic roofing can discolor with age, polycarbonate retains a clear appearance that continues to allow the light from outside to come through. People who love the effects of Dangal’s famed daylighting architecture will welcome transparent polycarbonate roofing.

The Appeal of Clear Polycarbonate Roofing

Natural light has been proven to be a source of wellbeing for human beings, but we can’t live outdoors. So polycarbonate roofing system is the next best thing. We can enjoy the remarkable benefits of natural illumination: we see better, we feel better, we’re more productive. Danpal’s holistic approach to the manufacturing of building materials like polycarbonate means getting the most out of a sunny day without paying too high a price. Polycarbonate reflects but doesn’t absorb UV rays, so we don’t have to worry about any potential ill effects. Sunlight and shade can be controlled so that glare is reduced.

When the weather outside is frightful, being inside is delightful because your polycarbonate roof is keeping the cold and wet elements outside where they belong.

The Esthetics of Polycarbonate Roofing

When you decide to install polycarbonate roofing, you’re making a decision that adds beauty to the construction. Although polycarbonate is often transparent like glass, it can be customized so that colors, levels of transparency, finishes, and textures can be added. With polycarbonate as the material of choice, you’ve decided to let your roofing reflect the character of the structure. Traditional or modern, bold or subtle . . . the choice is up to you.

Polycarbonate Roofing Is The Energy Efficient Choice

How well your residential or commercial structure insulates its interior is a significant factor when assessing its energy efficiency. Today’s environmentally alert consumer knows that good insulation prevents energy from being wasted. Is the temperature of your working or living spaces consistent throughout the year? If it’s not, then you should check to see if moisture has compromised your insulation.

If you have polycarbonate roofing, you can be confident that moisture from rain and snow has not penetrated your internal space. Your insulation will remain dry and energy won’t be escaping.

The Pros and Cons of Polycarbonate Roofing by Danpal

Figuring out the pros and cons of polycarbonate roofing can be a challenge because, frankly, there are so many reasons why a polycarbonate roof is the right choice. Polycarbonate is a relatively modern building material that had become increasingly popular for architects and builders alike. What’s not to love about a material that’s strong enough to stop bullets and light enough to transport with ease? Now, at Danpal, we know that you’re not in the market for a bulletproof roof, but you are looking for roofing that can stand up to the elements. It’s important to understand that a multi-story home is probably not going to be made entirely of polycarbonate. But polycarbonate roofing, on the other hand, is a high-quality material that can give you the long-lasting, weather-resistant, durable roof you want for your home or business. In this article, we’ll take a deep dive into the pros and cons of polycarbonate roofing by Danpal so that you can make up your own mind!

The Pros And Cons of Polycarbonate Roofing: What About Weather?

You’ve probably noticed that weather all over the globe has been on a rampage lately. Typhoons in one region, hurricanes in another, extreme heat sending temperatures soaring in places that are used to a more moderate seasons… all these things have consumers wondering if the buildings in which they live and work offer enough protection against the extreme weather. The good news about polycarbonate roofing is that it’s even strong enough for outdoor structures like your patio or deck, your shed and garage. You can even use polycarbonate to cover your pool, or to build a greenhouse! Maybe you’ve experienced the kind of damage that hail can do when it strikes a roof. But polycarbonate, which has 30 times the strength of acrylic and 250 times as much impact resistance as glass, is perfect for outdoor structures. Bring on the elements, a polycarbonate roof can handle whatever the skies dish out!

The Pros And Cons Of Polycarbonate Roofing: What About Sunlight?

You might be surprised to know that sunlight can be destructive in its own way. Sunlight doesn’t strike the way hail does. It doesn’t fling buildings through the air like tornadoes do. But in its own unique way, the sun can be extremely threatening. Everyone knows how dangerous UV rays can be. The good news is that a polycarbonate roof has the capability to block harmful UV rays. The protective coating that can be added to polycarbonate roofing is extremely thin, but powerfully effective. More good news? It doesn’t yellow the way acrylic panels do over time. Polycarbonate roofing stays strong and avoids discoloring over time, making it a smart investment for a shrewd consumer who knows that building with quality from the beginning saves money in the long run.

The Pros And Cons Of Polycarbonate Roofing: What About Esthetics?

Metal roofs and shingles don’t offer many options in terms of aesthetics. But the panels of a polycarbonate roof can be customized because the material is so flexible. Danpal’s polycarbonate palette is a gorgeous array of colors, finishes, and textures that nurtures genuine beauty in something as ordinary as roofing. A polycarbonate roof is appealing to the eye, making it an asset to a building’s esthetics and a welcome addition to the community, whether it’s a residential section or a commercial area.

The Pros And Cons Of Polycarbonate Roofing: What About Scratching?

As much as we love the many superior qualities of a polycarbonate roof, we can’t deny that the sheets aren’t scratch resistant. It’s possible that, if precautions aren’t taken, the surface can get scratched or even dented. However, if you do use caution, your polycarbonate roof will reward you with long, durable life.

Wait, we’re not done! Polycarbonate roofing not only protects from UV rays. It not only stands up to wicked weather. It’s also a great noise insulator! So the next time it’s storming outside, and the rain is pouring, wind is blowing, and thunder is hammering the skies, you’ll be safe and snug inside, blissfully unaware of what’s going on outside the walls of your polycarbonate fortress!

Bring Natural Light Inside With Danpal’s Transparent Roofing Solutions

You may not think of architecture as a source of wellness, and you may never have considered how building materials are capable of influencing mindfulness, but if you’re exploring options in transparent roofing solutions, you’re entering a vibrant realm of possibilities. Transparent roofing material can transform an architect’s vision into an inspirational structure. Clear roofing material, which by its composition is a superior source for admitting daylight into interior spaces, is capable of promoting both productivity and a sense of wellbeing. At Danpal, where we research, develop, and manufacture materials that are designed for a purpose as well as for appearance, we know that a structure needs to maintain a holistic balance between the performance of the building and the needs of the people within. This article will explain how the choice of installing a polycarbonate roof system affects much more than a physical entity known as a building.

You Can Rely On Transparent Roofing Solutions To Bring Daylight Inside

Polycarbonate roofing systems are made of a building material renowned for its strength. Polycarbonate lets in nearly as much natural light into a building as glass, yet it’s 200 times stronger. Glass cannot claim the same strength that polycarbonate has. That’s why Danpal finds that this clear roofing material has captured the attention of architects and construction crews.

More exposure to natural light provides so many benefits for us. Studies have shown that people who work in an office environment that offers exposure to natural light actually demonstrate noticeable improvements in their productivity when they’re awake, and experience greater quality of sleep when they aren’t. Better sleep at night leads to more energy during the day. There’s no way to put a price on how much better people feel when they’re in the presence of natural light, but the results are priceless!

Polycarbonate roofing systems do not have to be transparent in order to allow natural light to enter interior spaces. The polycarbonate roofing sheets can also be translucent and opaque and continue to allow natural light to enter. Opaque and translucent polycarbonate roof panels can even have different tints and colors, and still let in natural light.

The Benefits Of Transparent Roofing Solutions

The installation of a polycarbonate roof system offers an impressive array of advantages:

  • Significantly stronger and lighter in weight than glass
  • Flexible, bendable, and easy to customize
  • High impact resistance
  • Keeps its transparency and shape for a long time
  • Easier to install

The Right Transparent Roofing Material Enhances The Transmission of Light And Heat

If you’re wondering whether the installation of transparent roofing material will lead to a buildup of heat beneath the roof, don’t worry; there are easy ways of addressing that issue. The heat that’s created when more light enters in through clear roofing material comes from the sun’s infrared radiation. Adding certain colors containing heat-blocking additives to the panels can manage the ratio of heat and light that builds up. The end result keeps you comfortable inside.

Designing and constructing a building often focuses on cost, labor, and materials. But Danpal doesn’t forget that one of the most beneficial elements to add to a building plan is also one that comes at no cost. Mother Nature doesn’t charge for daylight. All it takes is for an architect to design a building that employs the daylighting architecture pioneered by Danpal. Choosing a polycarbonate roof system that adds sunlight to the design is an affordable way to welcome nature inside.

Translucent Polycarbonate Roof Panels Bring In Outdoor Appeal

Translucent polycarbonate roof panels are the architectural solution when you’re searching for a way to bring more daylight and sunshine indoors without having to handle the unpleasant features of the outdoor world. Thanks to the properties of translucent roof panels, daylight can become part of your living space and working space.

Translucent roofing sheets allow the visibility and warmth of the natural world to make your indoor domain more pleasant, while still offering the protection you need from the elements. After all, as much as we love the benign features of the outdoors, we aren’t going to invite rain, hail, or wind inside!

The Strength And Appeal Of Translucent Polycarbonate Roof Panels

Polycarbonate has become the wonder material of the construction industry. The esthetic attraction of translucent roofing material is visibly apparent: what other building material offers such a variety of dimensions and colors? It’s easy to assume that a material which delivers such a range of visual options must have sacrificed strength for beauty, but that’s completely incorrect.

Polycarbonate is incredibly strong, which means that translucent roof panels made of polycarbonate are designed to withstand the fierce elements of weather. It’s not just rain and snow that punish a building; the sun, too, wields a powerful force that over time, can damage a structure. However, thanks to the strength of polycarbonate, translucent roofing sheets not only protect from the harsh weather forces, but they’re also designed to lower UV radiation. Remember that UV protection is a shield from potential harm from the sun not only for a building, but also for you.

Architects appreciate the opportunity to design structures that incorporate translucent roofing material into the plans because polycarbonate is flexible and lightweight. It’s a better building component than glass because the roof can be supported by lighter framework, which makes it less expensive to install. If you want a translucent roof that curves, it’s polycarbonate that will deliver the goods.

Translucent Polycarbonate Roof Panels And Energy

Danpal, a company with over half a century of innovative expertise in the building industry, has long known what our competitors are now starting to learn: in order to build for both the people and the planet, we need to design materials that support sustainability and responsible energy usage.

These translucent roofs don’t just put a lid on a house or office building: they have the thermal capability to reduce the heat of the sun by almost 70% during the summer season. When you factor that number into the expense of air conditioning, you can see how translucent polycarbonate sheets support energy efficiency, because now your roof is carrying more of the cooling burden that keeps you comfortable. Less energy used is better for the planet and better for your finances.

Translucent Polycarbonate Roof Panels And Outdoor Structures

We don’t spend all of our time inside our homes and workplaces, of course. Even so, translucent roof panels are doing their part to keep us comfortable when we’re browsing in a shopping mall, enjoying activity in a sports complex, or even when we’re in a greenhouse looking for plants for our gardens. You can have indoor comfort with nature’s beauty if your outdoor living center has translucent patio roof panels. Translucent roofs made of polycarbonate transmit up to 85% of availably light when they’re compared with outdoor roofing that’s made of different materials.

When making your roofing decisions, translucent polycarbonate roof panels are going to rank high on your list of choices. You’ll have the strength you need, the beauty you want, and there’s another reason to choose translucent roofing material. Natural light is beneficial in so many ways. We see better with natural light, but we also feel better. Scientific studies have shown how natural light boosts our productivity and nurtures a feeling of wellness within us. Why not install the roof that makes you feel as if there’s sunshine inside you?

A polycarbonate roofing panel in clear design creates a unique bond between the comfort of the inside domain and the sensory appeal of the world beyond walls. What other construction component can deliver such a dual blend of natural elements and advanced building techniques? Access to sunlight without the dangers of ultraviolet rays? Translucent roofing sheets that are durable enough to hold rough weather at bay while opening the view to the skies overhead? And is it any surprise that Danpal, a trailblazing company in the manufacturing of building materials that embrace energy efficiency and sustainability, would find so many versatile ways to enhance architecture with the use of translucent roof panels?
For Danpal engineers, designers, and researchers, the company motto of Global Vision, Local Focus isn’t just a slogan. It’s a contract with our clients and our planet. We all thrive when we work together.

Adding A Walkway Canopy To Your Design

A walkway canopy is architecture’s way of turning the outdoors into a comfort zone for both commercial and residential settings. Whether your need for a covered walkway canopy is for a home or business environment, you’ll appreciate the benefits that Danpal manufacturing and design bring to canopy architecture. Walkway canopies are often seen in outdoor restaurant seating, where they provide covering for diners but also add to the ambience of the establishment. They are also seen in home landscaping, where they can add a festive touch to the exterior appearance of a house. But a Danpal walkway canopy design is much more than a piece of canvas on a pole. The famed Danpal reputation for innovation and visual appeal makes polycarbonate canopy design an attractive and useful feature for your building.

Of course, we immediately think of the ways that walkway canopy systems offer shelter from the elements, but even the simplest of walkway awnings can transform the visual aspect of the landscape. A street of shops distinguished by the items that are sold within, but connected by an exterior walkway canopy, gives a commercial zone a picturesque appearance. In a domestic setting, a covered walkway canopy at a festive occasion shields guests from rain as they enjoy the fresh air and the company of others. Whether you’re enjoying alfresco dining at your favorite restaurant or chatting with friends at a neighborhood get-together, you can appreciate the ways in which an outdoor walkway canopy enhances the occasion.

A Danpalon Canopy Redefines Outdoor Architectural Canopy Design

Don’t be confused when we talk of daylighting architecture and canopy roof design in the same sentence. The combination of natural light and architecture has brought about a dynamic partnership between what nature can provide and what technology can enhance.

Danpal is a pioneer in daylighting architecture, the process by which natural light becomes one of the building components of a design. Of course, as soon as Danpal is part of the conversation about canopy roof material, the conversation turns to a polycarbonate roof canopy. It’s light in weight and easy to work with, which gives it a versatility that’s especially convenient for an outdoor setting. You’ve seen polycarbonate canopy systems in a variety of locations, and you’re used to seeing polycarbonate used in conservatories, garages, decks, patios and even pool covers. It’s practically unbreakable, which helps to explain how polycarbonate canopy design has captivated the imagination of architects.

Because it’s 250 times stronger than conventional glass, polycarbonate is able to hold up against harsh weather. That means that whether the season features extreme cold or extreme heat, polycarbonate covered walkways are up to the challenge.

The Walkway Canopy Of Hwa Hun

Located near Seoul near Bukhansan Mountain in Korea, Hwa Hun or “Blooming House” is a brilliant example of how Danpal materials and stunning architecture combine to create a design that is both aesthetically impressive and structurally superior. The house not only uses Danpalon® in its Danpal façade system but also in its walkway canopy, where Danpalon® is placed over steel pipes. An architectural canopy is an invigorating element for a residence or a business that also adds to the appeal of the neighborhood.

The Advantages Of Danpalon® For Your Walkway Canopy

The reason why Danpalon® panels are the preferred choice for canopy roof systems is easy to understand. It’s well known in the construction industry that any Danpal product is subjected to rigorous in-house quality control testing so that the final results meet Danpal standards. Because Danpal is an international company with a thriving commercial presence on five continents, its global markets are an important consideration when manufacturing materials for export. Danpal products perform to excel regardless of where they are installed: whether it’s the Alps of France or the Australian Outback, Danpal manufactures materials that will be durable enough to withstand weather conditions all over the world.

Walkway CanopyVersatility Of Materials And Colors In Walkway Canopies

For business establishments that want to make sure the external features of their setting enhance the overall appearance and don’t detract from the impression that’s made on customers, there are various options to choose from when considering polycarbonate canopy details.

You might choose simple walkway canopies that are utilitarian in function, or you might be aiming for a more elaborate presentation that adds visual appeal. Danpal offers various options in building canopy design that will meet the widest range of customer preferences.

Walkway Canopies Provide Shelter From The Elements

People love being outside, until bad weather makes an appearance. With the arrival of summer, more events are held outside. For restaurants welcoming the return to normal after the constraints imposed by COVID, outdoor seating remains a popular option. An attractive walkway canopy design is a visual way for a business to look inviting.

Diners sitting at a table might have an umbrella to shelter them from harsh sunshine or blustery conditions, but servers bringing menu items to those tables can benefit from a canopy that shields the transit paths from exposure. Danpal flexibility and ease of access are always an important factor when making a decision on the dimensions of the walkway canopy that’s needed.

Optimizing Natural Light With Danpal’s Walkway Canopy Systems

Danpal is a pioneer in daylighting architecture, the process by which natural light becomes one of the building components of a design. Whether you are in the market for a walkway canopy or skylight roofing or any of the Danpal systems, it’s quite likely that you’ll want to check out the options that come with daylighting architecture. Studies have shown that adding more natural light improves productivity and nurtures a sense of wellness. In these stressful times, a little more sunshine can go a long way toward making building structures more holistic for those inside.

Newhaven Energy Recovery Facility, a Curvaceous Colosus

Imposing in size but well-integrated in its environment, the Newhaven Energy Recovery Facility on quite a difficult terrain, along the Ouse river, wedged between heterogeneous industrial buildings and residential areas, along a regional park.

The building is partially buried and emerges from the ground only 27 m high out of the 45 m required for the waste treatment process that is carried out over 200 m in length.

All that can be seen has been softened, rounded, curved to visually blur the building and reduce the impact on the environment. The building exterior is designed in three parts, which correspond to different stages of waste treatment.

On one side, the waste is received under a steel cladding, whereas at the other end an apse in porous textile covers the cooling elements. Between the two, a huge Danpalon® hall covers the processing pit and the heart of the system. During the day, light enters and lights up the installations. At night, the continuous activity of the building is gently enhanced with minimal light pollution.

In slightly cloudy weather, the milky appearance of the cladding allows it to almost merge with the sky, thus minimizing the visual impact of the imposing building. It was a difficult architectural choice to have made transparent what is usually opaque, and curve what is usually square. A choice that has had a positive effect as this treatment center has not been subject to the usual controversies that these kinds of projects are generally known to face.

A Sport Complex with a Forest Allegory

On the edge between urbanity and nature, set up between a ZAC and a hiking trail along a river, the Epernon sports complex finds its personality in the search for harmony with its environment, without dissimulation or assimilation.

On the town side, it is illuminated and the mineral concrete of the forecourt welcomes the visitors. On the riverside, the printed Danpalon® facade integrates with the park, without touching it, providing the reflection of trees in the Drouette valley.

“Initially, we had planned to screen-print this facade,” recalls Bernard Ritaly, Architect. “A visit to a trade show, during the design phase, allowed us to discover digital printing. This method enables us to create a face with more personal development, it opens up a field of possibilities that were not accessible earlier.

With a little imagination and fantasy, this is the solution that we have retained; at less than two meters away, the printed photo cannot be distinguished; only pixels are visible. One needs to move back from the facade to be able to understand what it represents.”

The trees printed on the Danpalon® double skin harmoniously mingle with the vertical wooden shingles, another key material of this Sports complex.

For Bernard Ritaly, “the facades are an allegory of the forest and of the plant world. We have used untreated larch, which will gradually become tinted, and in a few years from now, the entire building will be naturally grey. The pattern will not move.”

An Interview with Danpal Korea President – Mr. Han

We had the fortunate opportunity to sit-down, and talk with a very busy Mr. Han, about his work, as he guides Danpal Korea to a bright future.

Mr. Han is a multitalented individual, who is not only the president of Danpal Korea, but who is also the V.P of the Korea Institute of Architects, and amongst other titles, is an alternate member of the UNESCO-UIA Co-Committee of World Capital of Architecture.

1. Please tell us a little bit more about you and your background?

I am Young-keun Han, the president of Danpal Korea, a commissioner of Presidential Commission on Architecture Policy Republic of Korea, the vice president of Korea Institute of Architects, an alternative member of UNESCO-UIA Co-Committee of World Capital of Architecture and a commissioner of Architecture Commission of Seoul City. I am also an architect and university professor. I have experience in designing buildings and architecture ever since I finished my study of architect in France. During that time, I was able to experience architect and engineering industry for about 20 years and came across to know about Danpalon and its applications as aesthetically flexible building materials having great potential.

2. How did you originally get involved with DANPAL?

While I was in France, I had a chance to design a house for the Bayer France’s chairman and he was very satisfied with the design and outcome. As a result, I became his architectural consultant. From the Bayer’s raw material annual forum, I came to know of Danpalon which uses the Bayer’s Makrolon as the main ingredient. And after that, I have witnessed the design, application, and maintenance of the Bayer group’s Danpalon project. I was marveled at Danpalon as a building material and led me to start my business with Danpal in Korea.

3. Can you tell us more about how you have developed DANPAL Korea, into a successful supplier of architectural solutions (moving away from simple panels)?

As an architect, I have discussed a lot about building structures and materials with my fellow architects. In the early days in Korea, about 15 years ago, polycarbonate panels were not widely used as building envelopes. But I brought these fantastic materials at the moment when architects were seeking and desire of new materials. And I tried to apply Danpalon to well-designed building projects so that they could perform as my showcase.

Based on the high-quality product as Danpalon, I provided skilled engineering to support better applications. Most of all, I have tended to think that I am contributing to the new culture for architecture in Korea, rather than just selling panels for profits.

4. What challenges in supplying our systems for projects, do you continually face in Korea, and how have you overcome them?

Although Danpalon is known as high-end imported material, it is more expensive than four other competitors. In addition to that, products from China are not only cheaper but quicker to be delivered as they close to Korea.

The next issue is the Korean building regulations. Danpal products are globally used but that doesn’t mean they perfectly meet all Korean regulation. Especially, the standard for fire resistance and insulation is getting more and more intensified, and reducing the gap to meet the requirements is not fast enough.

To solve these issues, we approach each case differently and try to identify the client’s desire in early-stage whether he wants superior products or only cares of price so that we know where to put our efforts. We also try to secure more stock available in order to meet the desired delivery time. We understand well that this is not a perfect solution and Danpal products are order-made, therefore, the production requires more time. But we also hope more support from Danpal to find better and more effective ways to reduce delivery time.

For the regulations, we can hardly imagine how the regulations will be in the future. But now the best we can do is to suggest the applicable design of the products complying with the new regulation to our clients.

5. What sort of strategies have you used to overcome local competitors, especially those, who sell on price?

Danpal Korea offers solutions. With my employees’ knowledge and experience in engineering and architecture, and understanding of the Korean market, Danpal Korea provides not only products but Total Service. This means that from the design stage, Danpal Korea works with our clients until their projects end. And even after the projects we go on and check if our clients are satisfied with their results. I believe this could make clients favour our solution over the price.

.

6. What do you feel are the key advantages that a DANPAL solution offers, over other more established options in the market?

I think Danpal products are genuinely made by the market-leading company Danpal whereas other similar building material companies imitate and follow the trend created by Danpal. This gives significant differences for product superiority when it comes to application. With the experience and knowledge, Danpal has, Danpal solutions are built for high functioning that actually works. This is because Danpal products are continuously being evolved and get perfected by Danpal’s R&D, which makes other competitors hard to follow.

7. How important is it to provide high-level specification for each project, in order to secure supply, and how do go about this process?

Suggesting on Danpal’s specification is the first step in the process to develop projects.
In that, we need to address our solution’s functionality, efficiency, and as well as economic value to people who design, inspect, and manage projects and people who work on sites. Normally they don’t work in a group all together, so even though we convince the designer or architect, that doesn’t mean that we secured the project. We have to go through and met each stakeholder to be satisfied.

Since Danpal Korea is not a big company that has enough manpower, we have difficulties reaching out to every single one and its satisfaction. But we try to use every available resource as possible. For example, in order to get more information and supports, I use my network in architectural associations that I’m affiliated to.

And more importantly, we let our clients correctly understand the traits of our products and performance, so that we can build mutual trust with our clients and be recognized as a credible and healthy partner.

8. What future do you see for DANPAL in Korea, and how are you gearing up for these changes?

Danpal solutions may not be a substitute for all kinds of building materials for sure. And they are not ordinary materials or ubiquitous applied to everywhere, at least, in Korea so that its market is not as big as other ordinary materials like glass. But I believe its uniqueness can find the niche, and when Danpal solutions are required, there can be hardly ever substituted due to strength and durability compared to lightness and variety of color options.

So far, 85% of our projects are Façade and we have only 15% of roofing projects but we are now expanding to roofing and interior projects. For our future, what I want to do is to combine Danpalon and solar panels for clients who want solar energy. This will increase more marketable area. I am sure that Danpal solutions’ original functionality and technology to enhance energy efficiency and environmentally friendly products can be the answer for not only Danpal Korea but also for Global Danpal.

9. Can you tell us about a project that you are most proud of, and which DANPAL system you ended up using?

The most memorable project to me is Soongeui Arena Park Stadium using Danpal Roofing System. The project required 34.4 meter long panels, the longest panels ever used for our projects. In order to install these long panels inclined, the structure became very complicated. With the help of Danpal, we were able to save structural costs from total expenses. This was because Danpal and Danpal Korea are not just panel sellers but we find and provide the solution and service together.

10. What advice can you provide to our other global partners, on the steps you have taken, to grow the DANPAL brand in, your market?

I often say this but because of its importance, I will repeat it. We are not selling just products and panels. Because our products are not consumer products that can be immediately used as they are, just selling cannot be done without putting extra effort to support clients. Therefore, it is very important to have the experts and qualified manpower to provide engineering services and great marketing as well.

Our products are designed, tailored, and installed, and this process takes some time until projects finished. And the notion that I obtained in this business is to remind people that we are offering them solutions to solve their problems. With the high-quality Danpal’s solutions and the efforts to provide service, there will be a bright future and your success.

Patio Skylights Offer the Most From Indoor/Outdoor Living

Install A Patio Skylight For An Indoor/Outdoor Home Experience

If your home has a patio skylight, you’re well aware that outdoor living has given you an exhilarating way to enjoy all the comforts of home without being cooped up inside. A patio roof with skylights expands the attractions of time spent out-of-doors without having to leave the house. Skylights for patio roof architecture are just one of the unique ways in which homeowners can expand their comfort zone. Here, families and friends gather together to savor a pleasant evening or a celebration without being at the mercy of the elements. A Danpalon patio skylight can be especially accommodating for these events as it enhances the outdoor experience while providing shelter from rain and glare.

There was a time when houses had porches and yards and that was about it, but now, a residence may also have an outdoor area with clear patio roof panels that serves as a cozy entertaining center for company, or a relaxing place for the family to gather. According to the U.S. National Association of Home Builders, the share of new homes that included patios was more than 60% in 2020. This number represents the fifth year in a row that the share of newly constructed homes that include patios hit that record-breaking high! Imagine if all those houses had patios with skylights!

What’s So Special About Polycarbonate Patio Cover?

For one thing, most translucent patio roof panels are made of polycarbonate. You’d expect a polycarbonate patio cover to show significant strength, and you’re right. Although polycarbonate was first used on conservatory roofs, its popularity has expanded to the point where it’s also a favorite choice for greenhouses, solariums, and sun porches. Of course, it’s also commonly used in other commercial structures as well, but its use in outdoor structures shows that it offers that ideal blend of indoor/outdoor appearance and strength that’s so well suited for things like patio skylights. One reason that polycarbonate is the building material of choice in these structures is because many of them would not be able to support roofing made of a heavier material. Ease of installation is always a plus: it saves time and labor for the work crew, and it saves money for the client.

A patio cover skylight made of polycarbonate is almost unbreakable. As a means of comparison, polycarbonate is the material used to make police shields. If polycarbonate can stop a bullet, it definitely has the upper hand when weather attacks. That demonstrates how effective your outdoor patio skylights will be in resisting weather. During the seasons when the weather is uncooperative, you probably won’t be outside on the patio, but isn’t it a relief to know that your patio polycarbonate skylight panels are able to handle the pounding rain and the heavy snow while you’re snug and warm inside?

That resistance is part of what makes a skylight in patio roof design so attractive to homeowners, and so full of potential to architects. The durability of polycarbonate gives it a long life, which is also a money saver. The versatility of your patio skylight satisfies on so many different levels, from the economic to the esthetic.

Patio Skylight Lighting With Translucent Patio Roof Panels

People who have a porch skylight love the sense of being outside under cover, but they also crave the inclusion of natural light. The addition of skylights as a winning feature of the translucent porch roof maintains the brightness of natural light but diminishes the glare that sometimes accompanies sunlight. Danpal technology and building expertise knows just how to handle the whims of weather. Those clear patio cover panels bring in the daylight, but they won’t let it overwhelm you.

Translucent roofing materials for patio use can serve as the master of ceremonies when it comes to weather. They allow sufficient light to come in, but keep rain out. If you have a polycarbonate patio roof, you can be assured that you’re sheltered by a remarkably strong substance, 250 times stronger than glass, but with the flexibility and lightness to readily accommodate an architect’s design. If your home has an outdoor patio roof with skylights, you’ll be relieved to learn that polycarbonate is resistant to discoloration from the sun’s rays.

A little touch of the outdoors lets us appreciate our interior living space so much more. The option of enjoying time under a patio skylight is a form of architectural seasoning for the menu of our daily indoor living. Our homes have been transformed by many things: advances in research and development that have led to more efficient, effective building materials; an appreciation for the outdoors that doesn’t intrude upon comfort; finding a balance between the homes we live in, and the settings in which they are built. Patio skylights allow architects, builders, and clients to work as partners in order to design, build, and live in a dream home!

Impact Resistant Skylights

Most of the time, when we think about weather issues, we consider the problems caused by heavy rains, which often create havoce3444 as basements flood and in severe cases, rivers overflow, leading to catastrophic damage at great cost.  Then there’s snow, which brings its own set of weather issues to consider. Hail doesn’t happen as often as rain and snow, but everyone is familiar with it.  Hail can cause damage to cars, aircraft, even livestock! The damage that hail inflicts on roofs often goes unnoticed, however, until a leak develops.  Roofing systems need protection from the potential damage that weather can cause and this is one of the many areas where Danpal expertise saves the day. Danpal’s impact resistant skylights are durable so that they can resist the possible damage hail can cause.

Impact Resistant Skylights Stand Strong Against Weather

Impact resistance is one of the many features of Danpal’s weather protection arsenal.  Danpal’s impact resistant skylights are strong enough to keep the weather out and prevent hail from causing damage to the roof.  It’s flexible and light to work with, but once it’s in place, it becomes a fortress that guards against the rain, snow, and hail. The Microcell technology that’s used in the panels has been tested for strength and proves itself superior to other building materials when it comes to defending against the weather.

Impact Resistant Skylights Roofing Have Other Features That Impress

The ease of installation of a Danpal skylight roofing is also true when it’s being fitted onto metal or concrete; its versatility and flexibility work together.  Installation is also facilitated by the customization of the roofing so that it’s available in a wide range of lengths and sizes. The Danpavault Barrel Vault Skylight System can be placed over a metal structure, with aluminum framing options, or it can be self-supporting.

Insulated Polycarbonate Roof Panels

How To Insulate Polycarbonate Roof?

One of the most important parts of a building is insulation. It’s not enough to have good insulation.  Insulation can only perform its function if it’s protected from the moisture that rain and snow can leave behind.  Dry insulation plays a crucial role in the life of a building, but it’s also vital for the health and wellbeing of the building’s occupants. If insulation has been compromised by moisture, it becomes a welcome environment for the spread of mold, which can cause serious health problems for people living or working in the structure who suffer from respiratory conditions such as asthma or allergies.  That’s why insulation needs all the help it can get. Thanks to Danpal, Polycarbonate Roof Panels offer just the help a building needs!

How Insulated Polycarbonate Roof Panels Work

Insulation is a vital component in the efficient operation of a building’s heating and cooling systems, which should offer a steady temperature inside throughout the entire year and all four seasons of the calendar.
The added insulation of polycarbonate roofing, which has air between the layers, reduces the loss of heat. It keeps out the harmful UV rays from the sun, while at the same time allowing natural light to enter.

Polycarbonate Roof Panels And Where They’re Used

Polycarbonate roof can be installed either as a single layer, which is customary in greenhouses or in multiple layers, which is what is typically seen in a residence or business.
Keeping the right temperature for a building is both an environmental as well as an economical matter. Lost energy that escapes costs you money because it increases what you’re paying to keep your building warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

At the same time, escaping energy is a burden to the environment as we all strive to maintain sustainable lifestyles. Insulated polycarbonate roof panels add an extra layer of protection for your wallet and the world in which we live.

Best Polycarbonate Roofing

The popularity of polycarbonate as a building material has made Danpal the building company with the best polycarbonate roofing in today’s market. What’s so remarkable about polycarbonate roofing?  Its strength, for one thing; its flexibility for another. The reason that Danpal is a leader in roofing manufacturing is that clients are so pleased with the process and the results that they see.  Architects enjoy the options that polycarbonate roofing gives them and everyone appreciates the visual beauty of the finished product. Danpal’s reputation for quality is well known in the industry and our roofing is one of the reasons why.

Best Polycarbonate Roofing Systems

Danpal® roofing systems can be installed above or below a structure depending on its engineering and design requirements. With a variety of snap-on, interlocking, dry-glazed connectors, the roofing is a marvel of flexibility.  Its flexibility doesn’t diminish its strength, however; the polycarbonate roofing is made to stand up to weather, no matter how extreme.

Energy Efficiency and the Polycarbonate Roofing Sheets

Improved “U” and “R” values attest to the impressive energy efficiency of Danpal’s polycarbonate roofing systems.  Its resistance to the elements prevents the pounding hail, driving rain, and heavy snow from penetrating a building’s defenses and causing damage to the insulation inside.  Compromised insulation lets heating and cooling escape to the outside, leading to wasted energy and higher utility costs.

The Esthetic Qualities of the Polycarbonate Roofing System

It’s microcell technology that improves the quality of roofing by Danpal. There is a tight spacing between the ribs, which displays better natural lighting and, as a result, a more attractive appearance. You can see what we mean when you look at the Zennith Sports Center, a South Korean golf course.  Here, the beauty is apparent, the strength is expected.

Best Polycarbonate Roofing Sheets

In an interview, architect Oscar Torrejón described his satisfaction with the Danpal products used in the refurbishment of the Dominican Republic’s Studio Legal Terrero & Mejía. He said that the Danpal products he worked with “exceeded all expectations.” That level of praise is familiar to the Danpal team because, after over half a century in the industry, our reputation for quality is celebrated across the globe. It explains why we can offer the best polycarbonate roofing sheets, so that a building, right from the top, starts at the top!
But you don’t have to be an architect to be a confirmed pro-polycarbonate fan. Even a do-it-yourselfer can tackle a DIY project with confidence, thanks to the lightweight, durable, easily installed polycarbonate sheets.

DIY – Polycarbonate Roofing Systems

For many people, the COVID19 pandemic was a good opportunity to get some home repair projects done around the house. During that period when we couldn’t go anywhere anyway, many of us took the opportunity to get creative with a toolbox. Many of the do-it-yourself amateurs found out that they did a pretty good job, whether they were noticing places where the roof needed some repair, or they wanted a project to occupy their time and leave them with results that they could be proud of. What they found was that it was a lot easier to work with polycarbonate roofing sheets because they’re light in weight and easy to carry. Why lug around a heavy load when you have the option of going light and going better? That’s right, going better, because lightweight polycarbonate roof panels don’t sacrifice strength or durability. The projects moved along quickly because of the ease of installation. Injuries were reduced because the materials were easier to lift and move.

If your latest building project is a greenhouse or a conservatory, you might want to consider multiwall polycarbonate roof panels. Not only are they durable, but when combined with as many as seven layers, they can provide excellent insulation for the space beneath.

Solid polycarbonate sheets present another option for building designs that makes them ideal for greenhouses or balcony screens. Installation is safer than what traditional glass panels offer, and these shatterproof polycarbonate roofing systems deliver 200 times more impact resistance than double glazing can provide.

The Best Polycarbonate Roofing Sheets Make the Best Roofing System

Polycarbonate is a building material that automatically enhances the composition of whatever architectural aspect for which it’s used. Our polycarbonate sheets are made with microcell technology, which is celebrated for being the most advanced system used in daylight applications. As a pioneer in daylighting architecture, Danpal recognized the advantages of polycarbonate from the beginning. You want a roofing system that can withstand a range of weather conditions: Danpal polycarbonate roofing panels can do that. You want a roofing system that delivers the ideal balance between light and thermal dynamics: Danpal polycarbonate roofing sheets can do that.

You rely on your roof to shield your home or business from the outside elements. A polycarbonate roofing system does that and more. In addition to keeping you and your family warm and dry inside no matter what the weather is like outside, the polycarbonate roofing system has an added advantage: its esthetic qualities enhance your home’s appearance, adding to its value and appeal.

How the Polycarbonate Roof Panels Achieve Results And What Are The Advantages

Weather is a tough adversary. No matter where you live, there’s sure to be an element of weather that you find especially challenging. If it’s challenging for you, just think of what a building has to put up with from the outdoors! But Danpal products are tougher, and our polycarbonate roofing sheets are designed with a double-tooth, grip-lock connection for high resistance to powerful winds, heavy snow, and hail. Flexibility is also a trait of our advantages of polycarbonate roofing sheets, which have snap-on, dry-glazed connectors. In order to provide a long life for the roofing system, the Danpalon® panels have a co-extruded UV protection.

Factor in the high-impact resistance with low-scratch resistance and it’s obvious why polycarbonate roofing sheets are the building material of choice for architects. It’s a material that’s easy to make, cut, and mold, and there’s nothing a builder likes better than working with a product that enhances the efficiency of the project. Polycarbonate can be processed and shaped at room temperature because its glass transition temperature of 147 degrees (C) allows it to soften gradually when the temperature increases. Significant plastic deformations won’t make polycarbonate crack or break. In prototyping applications needing transparent or electrically non-conductive components, polycarbonate sheets beat sheet metal, which lacks this versatility.

Here’s another added bonus in using polycarbonate materials that you might not have thought of. Because polycarbonate roofing panels are lighter in weight, they are easier to transport, which means that carbon emissions are lower during transit. Maybe you never thought of roof repair as the smart ecological choice, but if you have a polycarbonate roof panels, you’re already making sound environmental decisions.

Roofing Systems Keep Weather Out And Let Daylight In

Roofing System: Often going unnoticed, the roof of a building holds the fate of the structure in its . . . well, hands, if a roof had hands. As is the case with so many things, building health begins at the top. A roof is the first target for the weather, the initial spot where a downpour of rain is detected. Heavy snowfall has to build custodial staff concerned about the weight of the snow and the potential damage it can do if it stays. Hail strikes like a volley of ice missiles, landing on the roof and staying there until they melt. Sunshine and heat can be intense. That’s why roofing systems are such an important part of architectural design and why Danpal roofing systems offer so much reassurance. Research and development have led to the creation of innovative technology that makes our roofing systems superior in performance when it comes to withstanding weather.

HOW DANPAL ROOFING SYSTEMS PROTECT BUILDINGS FROM WEATHER

A building isn’t the Batmobile; it can’t immediately produce new gadgets that protect it each time a different weather system strikes. Danpal has developed roofing technology that maintains a calendar year of defense. We have a double-tooth, grip-lock connection to provide 24/7 weather protection from the elements. If you look outside and see snow falling, or you hear the wind howling, there’s no need to worry because a Danpal roofing system is already on the job. Sunshine? It’s powerful, you know, and has the potential to damage a roof too. So we offer co-extruded UV protection. The result of all this protection is our maximum thermal performance keeping insulation dry and temperatures comfortable.

Roofing SystemsROOFING SYSTEMS AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Keeping insulation dry and free from dampness is one of the key roles played by the different Danpal products and it’s no different for a roofing system. As long as the insulation is dry, energy usage is consistent. But once moisture invades and the insulation gets wet, the heating and cooling systems struggle to maintain a consistent temperature. The result is wasted energy; the cost is passed on to the consumer, who is paying for energy that isn’t being used. But it’s also borne by the environment because we all know that our fragile planet must be protected from energy waste.

ROOFING SYSTEMS SHOW OFF THEIR LOOKS

A good, well-developed roofing system never forgets that its primary purpose is to protect the building from weather issues. But Danpal likes roofing systems to be attractive as well as functional. One of the ways in which our roofing systems are transforming the industry is through the use of daylighting architecture. Natural light enhances the illumination inside a building, but it must be admitted in just the right amount: not too much, not too little. With the tight spacing between the roofing system ribs, natural light enters at exactly the perfect balance for the occupants. The results are holistic. People who have the benefit of natural light in their working and living spaces find that they’re more productive, more energetic, and in a better frame of mind. If you’re looking for a roof that will give you an unexpected mood boost, try a Danpal roofing system.

Plastic Roofing Protects Better, Feels Better, Looks Better

The trend in the building industry is for materials to be more environmentally safe, more energy-efficient, and easier to work with while sacrificing nothing in durability. At Danpal, where we’ve had half a century of adapting our innovative research to consumer trends, we know how important it is to see the big picture. And there’s no better perspective from which to see the big picture than by viewing it from the roof! Plastic roofing, to be more specific! It’s a Danpal product that combines energy efficiency, durability, and appearance. If you’re searching for a roofing system that combines the most desired attributes for today’s discerning consumer but sacrifices nothing in old-fashioned quality, consider Danpal plastic roofing.

PLASTIC ROOFING DURABILITY

Weather will always be matched up against building materials in a test to see how well the manufactured products can withstand the weather. As our weather continues to become more challenging, Danpal products have continued to maintain the highest quality of performance. Danpal roofing offers UV protection in order for the roof to maintain its condition for the longest time. Our roofing is designed and built to maintain impermeable air and water tightness so that rain and snow and wind won’t penetrate the roof’s defenses.

Plastic RoofingENERGY EFFICIENCY, THE ENVIRONMENT, AND PLASTIC ROOFING

Danpal lives by its motto, Global Vision, Local Focus, and this slogan is how we do business. We’re an international company with a business presence on five continents, so it’s apparent why we take our motto seriously because the entire world is our customer. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is a top priority at Danpal, which is why we’re so attentive to the wellbeing of our clients and the sustainability of the planet. Our roofing products reflect our dedication to the holistic practices that we believe in, and because of that, our clientele can have faith in us.

PLASTIC ROOFING HAS EFFICIENT INSTALLATION

Our plastic roofing can be installed above or below buildings, which makes installation much easier to perform. Plastic roofing employs snap-on, interlocking dry-glazed components made of your choice of polycarbonate or aluminum to provide further ease in the installation process. Both aluminum and polycarbonate are highly regarded for their strength; they’re also prized because they’re not heavy and cumbersome to work with. Lightweight and easy to transport and work with, plastic roofing is a favorite all around!

LIGHTER AND BRIGHTER WITH PLASTIC ROOFING

Another advantage of plastic roofing is its contemporary appearance in providing a look that’s thoroughly modern for today’s design while incorporating the timeless appeal of daylight architecture into the model. Natural light is a form of illumination, which provides better visual power, but it is not just a matter of sight. Bringing daylight into the interior of a structure has a remarkable effect upon the occupants of a building. Workers find that they are more productive and in a better mood because sunlight contains Vitamin D, a necessary nutrient that’s vital to our overall health and wellbeing. Can you really feel better because of your roofing choice? With more natural light in your daily life, you’ll see an improvement!

Skylight Roofing Lets Daylight In But Keeps Weather Out

We want it all! We want the beauty of the outdoors but we don’t want to give up the comfort of our indoor dwellings. We yearn for the bright light outside, but our work is conducted within four walls and it seems as if there’s no way to combine the vitality of the outdoors with the practical efficiency of our inside lives. But don’t give up, because there is a way to welcome the sunshine and daylight of the outside world without trying to convince your boss that you’d be more productive if you worked from a treehouse. Skylight roofing is the answer. It’s easy to work with and easy to install and once you have it, you’ll never want to go back to the old-style roofing that keeps the daylight out of sight.

WEATHER AND SKYLIGHT ROOFING WORKING TOGETHER

The treehouse idea really wouldn’t work at all so before you start measuring the height of the branches where you live or work, give skylight roofing some consideration. Weather is a 24/7, 365-days-a-year presence in our lives. The plentiful daylight of summer gives way to the early darkness of fall and winter. Hot, sunny days share equal time, in season, with bitterly cold ones. You might stroll from your car to the office on a bright spring day, but when the rain is pouring down, you’re sprinting as fast as you can to get inside where it’s dry. Skylight roofing lets the weather be the weather and keeps you comfortable inside. You enjoy the way that the light transforms the illumination in your working and living spaces with skylight roofing, and you’re not inconvenienced when the weather is inclement, because you’re inside.

HOW SKYLIGHT ROOFING KEEPS WEATHER IN BALANCE

Once again, it’s Danpal innovation that has developed the means to satisfy everyone who wants it all. Skylight roofing allows sunshine to enter the building, but it blocks snow, rain, wind, and hail from coming inside. That’s because of microcell technology, which has been perfected so that it provides 100% watertight protection against wet weather. You know it’s raining or snowing outside, but it doesn’t interfere with your activities. You’ll reap the benefits of weather—more exposure to sunlight which will improve your Vitamin D levels, without having to wear sunscreen in order to prevent sunburn; you’ll see better because natural light is so beneficial to vision, but you’re not without access to the familiar features of the workplace and living space. The panel ribs of the roofing are spaced tightly together in order to enhance the effect of the light.

WORKING WITH SKYLIGHT ROOFING IS EASY

Another favorite aspect of skylight roofing is the ease of installation. Danpal offers varying lengths and sizes of roofing, all of which slot into designated spots effortlessly and easily without a lot of work. So, not only is skylight roofing please you, but it’s also a pleasure for the crew that’s installing it.

If you want the best of weather without its drawbacks, skylight roofing is the solution.

Controlite® Skylight Roofing: Comfort, Control, Energy Conservation

Look up! It doesn’t matter whether it’s day or night; there’s still something to see. Can’t see anything but the ceiling? That’s because you don’t have skylight roofing. Danpal skylight roofing systems deliver dynamic possibilities for architectural innovation with buildings that are filled with light in the amounts that are comfortable for the occupants. There are health benefits associated with daylight that are enhanced by skylight roofing, one of which is increased exposure to Vitamin D, that vital nutrient that so many of us are lacking because of insufficient exposure to the sun. Skylight roofing protects a building’s occupants from the harsh elements of weather that need to be kept outside while allowing the beneficial aspects, like daylight, to come in. If you’re looking for a way to make your building healthier for its occupants, why not contact Danpal for more information on skylight roofing? Danpal’s Controlite® skylight roofing optimizes the benefits of daylight while still protecting a building’s interior from the harmful effects of weather.

Controlite® Skylight Roofing: Comfort, Control, Energy ConservationCONTROLITE® SKYLIGHT ROOFING OPTIMIZES DAYLIGHT

Danpal’s half-century of innovation has led to the development of architectural solutions that deliver high-quality performance and exciting possibilities. This intelligent daylighting system features skylight roofing with integrated, rotating louvers that adjust positions throughout the day in order to adapt to the changing amount of daylight. Whether it’s the depth of winter or the height of summer, the system enables control of the intensity of the light to suit your personal preference. Skylight roofing by Danpal makes natural light a partner in the building design. In addition to the optimization of light, this skylight roofing system provides a larger surface area; it’s an energy-efficient, sustainable design, and can withstand harsh weather and extremes of temperature.

DAYLIGHT IN, WEATHER OUT: THAT’S THE BEAUTY OF SKYLIGHT ROOFING

Our interior living and working spaces are meant to be comfortable. Walls and ceilings are part of the barrier that keeps the weather from intruding on us; we’re indoor beings and we couldn’t function properly if we had to work and live out in the open, with no escape from cold weather, high temperatures, rain, snow, wind, and hail. Danpal understands that while we appreciate having more daylight inside, we don’t want all of nature’s seasons to intrude upon us. That’s why Danpal’s skylight roofing is built for durability. We use microcell technology so that our panels can deliver complete, 100% watertight protection from the bitter cold, oppressive heat, and rain and snow that weather brings. With skylight roofing, the weather performance is on display outside, but you’re comfortable inside.

CONTROLITE® AND ENERGY CONSERVATION

In a world that has gone from being agricultural to industrial, buildings play a vital role in the way that energy is consumed. With Controlite® skylight roofing, energy used from heating, air conditioning and artificial lighting is significantly reduced so that a building’s environmental impact is less negative. Danpal Controlite® panels can be integrated into the energy-efficient design of a building, making designers eligible for credit points through the green building rating systems.

When you’re choosing building materials, strength and durability are key traits needed in those products. But sometimes the strongest material may not be the one that first comes to mind. For instance, what do you know about plastic roofing?

You might initially think that it can’t measure up to other materials, but plastic roofing is actually one of the most durable and attractive choices that you can make when selecting a roofing system. At Danpal, innovation and technology go hand-in-hand and that’s why our plastic roofing, which reflects the expertise of our research and development experts, is such a good choice when deciding the kind of roofing that will work best for your building’s needs.

PLASTIC ROOFING IS AN EXCELLENT WEATHER DEFENSE

What’s your main concern about the roofing that you choose? Most of us would answer that we want it to be sturdy enough to handle whatever the weather will be for the life span of the roof. We know that a roof is the first target for weather: snow and rainfall, heat beats down, winds blow, and hail hammers the roof.

Withstanding that kind of punishment can’t be easy! But a plastic roof isn’t weak: it’s up to the challenge posed by winter, summer, spring, and fall. It also supports the efficient use of energy. That’s because plastic roofing is made with microcell technology, a strong and durable product that also provides a protective layer to reduce the transfer of heat, allowing for the reflection of thermal radiation.

Plastic RoofingTAKE IT TO THE MAX: MAXIMUM COMFORT AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY WITH PLASTIC ROOFING

We want our homes to be comfortable and that means choosing the roofing systems that will let us live in a dry, warm-in-the-winter, cool-in-the-summer environment. But we’re also very much aware that our choices aren’t just about what we want. We also need to choose based on the needs of the planet. In the past, the environment’s needs were ignored.

We’ve now realized that those unwise decisions were harmful to the air, water, and soil of Planet Earth. Today’s consumer chooses to live in an environment that maintains harmony with our wants and our planet’s needs.

Your indoor temperature should be consistent year-round. If you need to change the temperature in the winter because the living or working space is too cold, you may be losing energy. If you’re changing the temperature in the summer because it’s too hot inside, your insulation may be compromised, allowing energy to escape.

Plastic roofing is designed to support energy efficiency so that insulation stays dry. Dry insulation and energy efficiency are quite a pair and they work together to create indoor spaces that are comfortable and environmentally stable.

THE FINANCIAL EFFICIENCY OF PLASTIC ROOFING

Plastic roofing not only supports energy efficiency; it also benefits our financial efficiency. Losing energy because of wet insulations ends up costing more money in our heating and cooling bills.

When we choose plastic roofing, we’re also choosing economical utility bills, because we aren’t wasting energy. Saving money by making smart building choices is just one of the ways that plastic roofing is the right decision.

Plastic Roofing Brings Strength and Light to Your Building Project

Danpal’s Options for Plastic Roofing

For over 50 years, Danpal has been at the forefront of creating and installing innovative roofing systems that offer optimal thermal and solar comfort. Giving you the option of choosing from skylights, roofs, facades and more, Danpal is the choice for your roofing solutions.

Danpal roofing can be installed above and below various different kinds of buildings. The plastic roofing uses snap-on interlocking dry-glazed connectors that are made from either aluminum or polycarbonate. With plastic roofing, a building has the benefits of superior weather protection, energy efficiency, and an attractive appearance.

Plastic Roofing and Weather

You might think that the weather has it in for roofs. After all, the roof is the first target for rain, snow, and all the rough elements that pour out of the sky like they’re sent on an aerial mission to destroy. That just means that the roofing you select needs to be strong enough to handle the attack. Plastic roofing, thanks to the overall strength and quality of its design, as well as the quality of the materials that are used to create the roofing system, can be relied upon to withstand weather and offer high-impact resistance.

Plastic roofing also offers protection against the effects of the sun. We don’t always consider the effects of sunlight on a building, but Danpal’s plastic roofing panels offer UV protection so that the roof remains in good condition for a longer period of time.

The Benefits of Light with Plastic Roofing

The roof on top of a building has a powerful effect on everything that’s underneath, and this is where the combination of plastic roofing and light works to such a winning advantage. Every space in the building needs light in order to be fully functional. Plastic roofing allows the light to enter, balancing it so that it’s emitted in just the right amounts. Natural light adds much to our living space, and it also provides a boost for us as well.

Easy Installation of Plastic Roofing

Plastic roofing is light in weight and won’t put undue pressure on the structure. Working with lightweight materials makes installation smooth and easy, saving time and money because the work happens so effortlessly. But don’t worry; lightweight doesn’t mean weak. Plastic roofing is strong.

Lookin’ Good with Plastic Roofing

Once the roofing is in place, the visual effect is stunning. Much of that is due to the transparent materials that are used, which provide the ideal balance of light that works so well for interior space. Because of Danpal’s amazing array of colors, finishes, aspects and spectacular effects, you’ll have no trouble finding just the right look to release the building’s creative image.

Plastic Roofing is a Plus for the Environment

Danpal, committed to thinking both globally and locally, maintains a high regard for sustainability and protecting the environment. That’s why indoor air quality is a high priority for the company. What affects Danpal customers affects the world, because Danpal, which operates on five continents, knows that the globe is home to all of us.

Know What to Look for When Choosing a Roofing System

What to Look for in a Roofing System

A building has a vision that arises from the creativity of the architect and the quality and innovation of the materials that will be used to take that building from a design to a completed structure. Even though a building is a very practical, utilitarian reality, the planning that gets the process started involves both research and inspiration. Where is the building located? The answer will determine the materials that are chosen. What is your budget? You’re going to want to purchase the highest quality of materials while adhering to the financial boundaries of your client’s directions.

What kind of impression should the building create in the neighborhood? The esthetics of a building can turn an ordinary structure into a landmark. But if you choose the wrong roofing system, all of the work that you’ve put into the building is wasted. With so many things to decide and so many options on the market, you should check in with the experts at Danpal to find out what they have to offer.

Roofing SystemThe Weather and Your Roofing System

The map is going to have a great deal of influence upon your final decision for a roofing system. The roof is the main barrier separating the building’s interior and exterior. A roof can’t fail the building beneath it; it must be able to withstand whatever conditions are common in the area, whether that means the powerful rains of one geographical area, the fierce snows of another location, the scorching heat from one place, or the overwhelming winds from somewhere else.

An architect needs to have a thorough understanding of the regional climate when choosing a roofing system because particular roofs work better in specific climate zones.

Matching Budget and Quality for Your Roofing System

A building is a significant investment of money, time, and labor. You’re going to want to choose a roofing system that’s built to last. If you decide to cut corners and buy the cheapest materials you can find, you’re ultimately going to spend a lot more in repairs than you would have if you’d opted for quality in the first place. Technology has greatly broadened the quality of building materials for roofing systems, and architects and designers have seen the industry evolve dramatically thanks to these advancements.

Danpal has built its reputation on developing and manufacturing cutting-edge, state-of-the-art materials to construct buildings that last. If you want your roofing system to benefit from the research and testing that has already been done, Danpal has the products you’re looking for.

How Does the Roofing System Look from Down Below?

Don’t be fooled into thinking that, because the roof is all the way up there on top of the building, no one will notice it. The roof’s appearance is actually one of the most important components of the overall building image. The texture, type, and color of the roof need to blend with the exterior style and finish of the building. The architectural styles need to complement one another or the final effect will look unprofessional and unattractive.

Celebrate the Uniqueness of Each Individual Building

A Key Element in Presenting Your Architectural Vision

The internationally renowned architect, Diego Garteiz Mina, recently collaborated with Pal Plastic’s, very own Marketing and Sales Manager, Gorka Goikoextea Retana. Together, they attended technical conferences on architecture, organized by Danpal Mexico, and hosted in the Torre Mayor building, Mexico City.

The Vizcayan architect began his speech explaining some of the most relevant projects developed throughout his extensive professional career. In addition, he exemplified with images, his particular vision during the construction process of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. The complexity of the project modified his initial concept during the development of architectural design.

DanpalFrom his professional experience, his main idea has always been to represent the uniqueness of each building. He does this via new concepts, such as capturing the simplicity and essence of each space, and integrating the structures with their surroundings. He can then use this as a differentiating element, the effects being produced by the interplay of sunlight on each surface.

Unique Spaces

This is how he came up with the concepts that would later become another of his main projects; the Bullring of Illescas, in Toledo, whose structure stood out at the time as the largest mobile roof in Spain. Another feature that makes this space unique, is the incorporation of elements, usually only found during the production process. Although they may not be functional, they become a differentiating element of design, as observed in images of the bullring in Illescas.

In this concrete architectural project, Diego Garteiz, chose to use the Danpalon® based system, combining it with metallic structures. He managed, not only to create a dynamic exterior effect and color, according to the solar incidence but a special interior transmission created by light at different times of the day.

The solar transmission which characterizes the architectural works of Garteiz, can also be observed in the building of warehouses, constructed in Alaves Lanciego. Here, he incorporated one of the very elements used during the process of winemaking. Other elements are also integrated into the structure of the facade. These materials, combined with the Danpal® system, manage to create a unique effect, both on the outside and inside of each surface, by generating unique light effects.

Danpal, Trust and Long-Term Guarantee

I have been collaborating with Danpal for over 20 years, a company that has my complete and total confidence. In this sense, Garteiz explained, “We have been working a lot with Danpal products throughout Spain. The material, not only guarantees durability over the passage of time but also, an extreme lightness that encourages speed of construction during assembly on site. In addition to cost savings, the construction of unique structures in which energy efficiency and the transmission of sunlight are spectacular. The definition of spaces created by natural daylight, allow us to achieve unique areas of high quality for everyday use.” – the architect concluded.

Plastic Roofing Performs Better And Lasts Longer

Danpal has been in the building business for over half a century. Plastic has been around a lot longer than that, but our research and development experts have found new ways to put this remarkable material to use. Plastic roofing combines the lightweight strength of plastic with Danpal building expertise to create a system that gives roofing an entirely new and dynamic functionality.

Creating a roofing system that employs the utmost in strength and flexibility while supporting the most up-to-date building regulations and codes are the Danpal way of putting our slogan, Global Vision, Local Focus, into practice. We have found that it’s possible to improve building quality, environmental overfinance, and quality of living by maintaining the highest possible standards. We build for the client, and we build for the planet. Our plastic roofing systems demonstrate our dedication to our creed.

Plastic RoofingPlastic Roofing For An Easier Installation

In most construction projects, putting on a new roof is something that clients dread. It’s a lot of work, it’s inconvenient, it’s disruptive. But Danpal plastic roofing has mastered the art of efficiency. That’s because the components of our plastic roofing are designed to be versatile so that they can suit your preferences. Our plastic roofing can be installed on a variety of building designs, from both above and below. We build for strength, using snap-on, dry-glazed, interlocking materials constructed from a choice of two very strong materials, polycarbonate or aluminum.

Energy Efficiency Comes With Plastic Roofing

A building can only be as energy efficient as the materials with which it is made will allow it. That’s another reason why Danpal plastic roofing is so popular. As a company with a presence on five continents, we have a broader understanding of just how important sustainability is. It’s not just people who have lifestyles; buildings have them as well.

Our philosophy is that a building should exist in harmony with the environment and plastic roofing is one of the best ways to accomplish that. Polycarbonate plastic roof panels is as durable as it is light in weight, able to protect against leaks and weather damage so that insulation remains dry inside, even if it’s raining or snowing outside.

Energy efficiency in the home equals financial efficiency in your wallet. You aren’t paying for heating or cooling that isn’t being used because plastic roofing is one of the ways that your home or office keeps fuel—and your money—inside where they belong instead of escaping!

Appearance Counts With Plastic Roofing

Danpal promotes the esthetics of construction as well as its function. Architectural design incorporates standard features—walls, ceilings, windows, doors, etc.—but there’s something else that Danpal and plastic roofing include in building construction and that asset is daylight. It’s a remarkable innovation that a company which is renowned for making high-quality building materials has also been able to pioneer daylighting architecture.

Natural light is a marvelous asset to our living and working environment, one that adds to the esthetic appeal of a structure but also enhances the quality of life for those within.

Roofing systems start a building out right

Weather, which comes right out of the sky, is at the top. Next in line is the roof. Those of us down below react to the weather every day, but before it strikes us, it’s already hitting the roof. Whether the sky is shooting down hail that hits like bullets, or pouring rain that pounds upon the surface of the roof, or sending down flakes of snow that accumulate, there’s no way to escape the weather. That’s why building material manufacturers pay so much attention to the products that we develop; we know that a flawed roofing system is going to immediately affect the performance of your building. At Danpal, we’ve had half a century to study the problems that weather causes and that’s given us more than fifty years to develop high-quality roofing systems which are strong enough to stand up to energy and lightweight enough to be easy to work with.

ROOFING SYSTEMSROOFING SYSTEMS KEEP OUT WEATHER

It’s really pretty obvious. A roof is the lid of the building. Its role is to keep the occupants and contents inside free from experiencing the weather that is beating down upon it throughout the seasons. As long as a roof is watertight and airtight, you can be confident that it’s doing its job in keeping drafts and moisture out. And don’t forget sunlight—heat, and sun can also damage a roof, which is why we offer co-extruded UV protection for our roofing systems. For the traditional weather threats posed by rain, snow, hail, and wind, Danpal has developed a double-tooth, grip-lock connection that shuts out weather and enhances thermal protection inside to keep your building’s insulation dry.

R U AWARE OF YOUR ROOFING SYSTEM’S “R” and “U” VALUES?

One of the ways that the construction industry has changed over the past five decades has been in response to environmental concerns. As new regulations were passed that required the building industry to develop products that don’t harm the environment, Danpal invested in research and development to advance the manufacturing of sustainable products. R-values are the resistance to the heat flow; the higher the R-value, the greater is the resistance and the insulation value. The U-values represent the amount of heat that escapes; the lower the U-value, the slower the rate of heat flow and consequently, the quality of the insulation is better.

“U” and “R” values have improved during this time as environmental awareness has become a way of life for consumers and businesses alike.

ROOFING SYSTEMS THAT SUPPORT ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Airtight and watertight means that insulation can do the work it’s designed to do without suffering a loss of performance due to leaks and drafts. Cooling and heating systems maintain a consistent temperature throughout the year with dry insulation. As populations grow and nations become more industrially advanced, we all have an obligation to make certain that the building products that we use do not compromise the health of the planet. Energy efficiency is a benefit to everyone. It costs less for the consumers because you’re only paying for the energy that you use; it helps the planet because energy isn’t wasted and carbon footprints remain smaller.

Weather is tough, but it can’t defeat the performance of a Danpal roofing system.

Polycarbonate Roof Offer Superior Strength

Polycarbonate, a building material that is both impressive in strength and light in weight, continues to grow in popularity. It’s strong and durable, and able to resist the forces of nature, but at the same time, it’s easy to work with. With material like this, the possibilities are almost endless, so it’s no wonder that polycarbonate roofs are showing up more and more often on buildings. Polycarbonate roofing system actually was first used on conservatories but has become increasingly popular for commercial structures.

The Types Of Polycarbonate Roof

You’ve likely already seen one kind of polycarbonate roof if you’ve driven by a conservatory. The panels look like glass and can be either transparent or translucent. Because of the strength and versatility of polycarbonate, it’s showing up in roofing on greenhouses, sun porches, solariums, and patio rooms. These structures would not be able to support a heavy roof, so polycarbonate is ideal. Also, a polycarbonate roof is less expensive than glass, which presents a financial advantage as well.

Polycarbonate Roofing And Weather Resistance

Weather is a factor when choosing the roofing that’s best suited for your region, so it’s fortunate that you can choose polycarbonate roofing without sacrificing any of the qualities that you would expect from traditional roofing.

Polycarbonate roofing meets the most demanding quality standards: it’s able to withstand a wide range of temperatures; it’s shatterproof; it’s flexible; it’s durable, and it’s lightweight. If you live anywhere where there’s the weather, polycarbonate roofing is ideal for you!

With its high impact resistance, polycarbonate roofing has the advantage over glass if you live in a region of the world where heavy snowfall or hailstorms are common because it’s not likely to break or crack.

Polycarbonate roofs come in different colors, but if you’re worried that the colors will fade after constant exposure to the sun, rest assured that the panels do not readily fade and are able to maintain the attractive appearance of the roof.

Insulating Qualities Of Polycarbonate Roofing

Polycarbonate roofing, which is installed either as a single or double layer, provides added insulation for the building. A greenhouse may use only a single layer, while a business or home is likely to use multiple layers. There is air between the layers which provides insulation to reduce the loss of heat. Polycarbonate roofing keeps out harmful UV rays that we don’t want, while letting in the natural light that we do want. Protecting the insulation is one of the ways that polycarbonate roofing helps your heating and cooling systems maintain a steady temperature inside throughout the year.

Longevity Of A Polycarbonate Roof

Danpal is proud to offer building materials that are designed to last a long time and that’s the case with polycarbonate roofing. Although polycarbonate is a comparatively new building material, it has shown itself to be a product that withstands the test of time. We’re confident that polycarbonate roofs will become even more popular as more people discover the remarkable performance of this innovative material.

Welsh National Sailing Academy. Land, sea and sky.

Situated on an exposed North Wales peninsula between the Irish Sea and the Afon Erch river estuary, the stunning Welsh National Sailing Academy building is both an international centre of excellence for sailing and a multi-purpose event space for the local community.

Working with the Sailing Academy and the Gwynydd County Council, Ellis Williams Architects of Liverpool based the building’s unique design on the classic principle of ‘form following function’.

A unique spiral building design is centered on a large circular main hall, enabling fully rigged boats to be towed in and out with ease while being protected from the location’s strong coastal winds. Curved public terraces overlooking sailing competitions in the bay are situated to the more sheltered north western side, with a glazed café area offering stunning panoramic views of both the bay and the Snowdonia National Park beyond.

Pwllheli-Wesl-National-Sailing-AcademyOn the opposite side, a bar and terrace looks out towards the marina and estuary. A critical design criteria for the project was to maximize the amount of natural daylight entering the circular hall to assist in the preparation of sailing boats and their close scrutinizing by competition judges. To meet this requirement, Ellis Williams specified Danpalon® translucent polycarbonate panel cladding system for both the curved hall façade and the round hall roof.

To harmonize with the project’s extensive use of natural stone gabions, sea grass banking and treated softwood building materials clear (uncoloured) Danpalon® panels were selected and pre-treated with Softlite coating to limit light glare and achieve a subtle matt finish.

The translucent panels also enabled a variety of attractive night time building illumination effects to be achieved using energy-efficient coloured LED lighting, while its excellent thermal properties mean the central hall is able to function as an unheated event space.

With its unique and stunning aesthetic appearance, the Welsh National Sailing Academy has won a series of national architecture prizes including the RIBA Regional, LABC, ICE and CEW awards.

Danpal Roofing Systems Strengthen a Building’s Protection From Weather

There’s a reason why roofing is a system. It’s not just a slab thrown over the top of a building to keep out the elements. The job of a roofing system is much more intricate than that, so that your building is shielded from weather damage and moisture from top to bottom. When you choose Danpal, you’re getting a roofing system that is 100% leakproof, watertight and airtight; provides a superior thermal performance; is lightweight and easy to work to use, with cold bending of panels on site; has high-impact resistance against hail; and provides a dazzling appearance. The roofing systems confirm what the building industry has known for a long time: Danpal quality and Danpal innovation form the foundation of the cutting-edge reputation that makes us a leader in the field.

DANPAL’S MODULAR GLAZING ROOFING SYSTEMS

With a range of snap-on interlocking dry-glazed connectors that are made of polycarbonate or aluminum, Danpal had developed roofing systems delivering a level of flexibility that is a marvel in the engineering and design spheres of building. Danpal innovation has created roofing systems that are available in a variety of different designs and can be installed above or below various structures, depending on the engineering and design requirements.

ROOFING SYSTEMSROOFING SYSTEMS NEED TO STAND UP TO WEATHER

Weather is always going to be a factor in the life of a building. But the important thing for architects is to recognize this from the very beginning. Knowing the kind of weather that a building will have to face, depending on its geographical location, allows the architect to tailor his or her design requirements accordingly. Lots of snow and rain in your region? Protecting the insulation from moisture is going to be a primary responsibility of your roofing system. Hail? Remember to make sure that your roofing system includes high impact resistance. Sunshine all day long? What about UV protection for the extended life of the building? A roofing system, wherever it’s going to be doing its job, is facing weather every day. Choose a roofing system that can meet the weather challenge.

MICROCELL TECHNOLOGY ENSURES LONG-TERM SERVICE CAPABILITIES FOR YOUR ROOFING SYSTEM

Microcell technology has been proven to be a roofing system’s best defense against the elements. The Danpalon panel, with tight spacing between the ribs, offers improved “U” and “R” values for improved energy efficiency. There’s resistance to damage from hail, high winds, and snow, thanks to the roofing system’s double-tooth, grip-lock connection and extrusion with standing seams. Our weather protection is designed for all seasons; the sunshine is also a threat to a building, but our roofing system provides co-extruded UV protection.

ROOFING SYSTEMS PROTECT PEOPLE AND BUILDINGS FROM MOISTURE

Moisture is bad for a building, but it’s not a friend to the occupants inside the building, either. Once moisture has found a home inside a structure, it’s not long before mold shows up. Mold is particularly harmful for people who suffer from respiratory ailments such as allergies or asthma, but it’s unhealthy for everyone. Choosing a Danpal roofing system is the smart way to keep a building and its occupants healthier.

Skylight Roofing Lets Us Live In The Light!

Wouldn’t you like to have a little more daylight in your life? Have you ever sat in a meeting and found your attention wandering as you gazed out the window and wished that you could enjoy more of the sunlight? Does your life feel as if the day is taken up with too many ceilings and floors and doors, and not enough natural light? What you’re feeling is actually natural, pun intended. As human beings, we crave the light. Natural light is the magic ingredient in the formula of life. It can lift our spirits when we’re feeling down. It can make us more productive when we can’t seem to break out of a dull routine. And it also helps us to see better! Grateful as we are for artificial light, it doesn’t compare to the original light of the sun.

Try Skylight Roofing For More Daylight In Your Life

Now that we’ve settled on the fact that we’d like more sky, less roof in our lives, what do we do about it? Tents and treehouses have their place in our outdoor options, but they really wouldn’t work for a permanent lifestyle. Well, what about skylight roofing? Buildings have to have roofs, and people have to have light. Why not choose the option that allows you to have what you must include without sacrificing what you really want?

Skylight RoofingSkylight Roofing Is Strong Enough To Handle Weather

Skylight roofing is a much better option than living out of doors, so before you starting moving the dining room furniture out to the lawn, stop for a minute and think about it. The reason humans don’t live outside is because that’s where the weather is. When we’re inside, we’re comfortable and safe. Outside—well, that’s where the rain falls and the snow flies; it’s where the winds blow, the hail hits, and the sun burns. You don’t really want to have to deal with all that, do you? Of course not. With skylight roofing, you won’t have to. Danpal’s skylight roofing, thanks to microcell technology, is completely, 100% watertight and won’t allow moisture from rain and snow to enter. It’s also able to withstand the intensity of the sunlight because it has UV protection. Light inside, weather outside; that’s what you have to look forward to with skylight roofing.

More About Skylight Roofing and Natural Light

Danpal has been a leader in the building materials industry for over 50 years. During that time, we’ve also pioneered daylighting architecture, a wonderful innovation that brings natural light inside, in exactly the amounts that you want. People who have access to natural light in the workplace find that they’re more productive. Those whose homes are blessed with natural light have discovered that their mood improves and the atmosphere is a much more pleasant one. Since we already know how much natural light benefits us, and we realize that all of our buildings have to have roofs, doesn’t it make sense to choice skylight roofing?

Roofing Stands Tough Against Weather

With the rise of environmental consciousness has come a dynamic new outlook on the way we live, the foods we eat, the cars we drive and, last but not least, the buildings in which we live and work. At Danpal, we fulfill our purpose to develop cutting-edge building materials that support the environmental needs of the planet and meet the expectations of our clients. Not all companies regard their mission in this light but for us, the products that we create are designed to last. We believe that any product with a life span should accommodate the next generation of Earth’s occupants. Danpal’s plastic roofing is just one of the products in our line that reflects this awareness of Global Vision, Local Focus. That’s the Danpal motto and it’s the way we do business.

Danpal Plastic Roofing Partners With The Environment

Roofing may not seem like a topic that measures up to something as broad as environmental responsibility, but Danpal’s designers and engineers reflect the company philosophy as they develop our products. Roofing is the defense system that protects a building from the invading forces of nature. In that role, Danpal’s plastic roofing, because it’s designed to keep out moisture and drafts, is partnering with the environment so that the energy that’s used remains inside the building. There’s a lot that people don’t know about how effective plastic roofing is and we’re happy to explain why you should consider it for your roofing needs.

Plastic RoofingPlastic Roofing Supports Energy Efficiency

Buildings in developed countries are the source of about 40% of the energy usage in those respective nations. That’s why plastic roofing, which is so environmentally efficient, is the smart, savvy choice for today’s eco-minded clients. Keeping energy within the building is vital. That’s why we recommend our high-quality plastic roofing. It saves on energy usage by avoiding waste, and that saves money. Any building that’s made from low-quality materials isn’t going to last against the day-to-day buffeting that it receives from weather and that’s when energy efficiency is at risk. If moisture manages to penetrate a building, it’s only a matter of time before insulation is compromised and energy is lost. Not only will you be paying for the energy that you use, but you’re also paying for the energy that’s escaping. Danpal plastic roofing is designed to keep energy inside and weather outside.

Keeping Weather From Getting Inside Your Building

Part of the reason that plastic roofing is so effective at supporting energy efficiency within is that it’s so good at keeping weather outside. Nature is a powerful force and no matter in which region you live, it’s quite likely that you’ve experienced the elements. A thunderstorm, with its powerful winds and driving rain, lets us know that nature calls the shots. Or maybe it’s a furious winter storm that sends freezing temperatures, heavy snowfall, and gusts of wind that lets us know that we’re at nature’s mercy. We have the option of going indoors to escape the fury of weather but buildings have nowhere to go. It’s for that reason that they must be designed and built with the highest quality of products, like our plastic roofing.

Polycarbonate Sheets: Today’s Building Material Choice For Strength and Flexibility

Fifty years as leaders in the building industry with polycarbonate sheets systems have provided Danpal with a reputation for innovation and expertise. We operate on five continents so, in addition to our decades of experience, we have a global presence that enhances our ability to live up to our motto, Global Vision, Local Focus. As the market’s expectations change to include materials that are stronger, lighter, more energy-efficient, and easier to work with, Danpal has been in the forefront of the transformation in the industry. Our reputation as leaders in the manufacturing of building materials has been solidified by our commitment to cutting-edge products that meet customer expectations.

Not all companies have been able to keep up the pace of change that has resulted from technological advances, and not all of the products that were once popular in the industry have been able to maintain their edge. Polycarbonate sheets are one of the new products on the market; they are so strong, flexible and attractive that they are replacing more traditional building materials such as glass.

Polycarbonate Sheets Don’t Surrender To Weather

No matter what weather pattern we’re in, we can be sure that weather will continue to be a force with which to be reckoned. Snow, rain, wind, and hail haven’t changed. Fortunately, technology and efficiency have changed. Polycarbonate panels, which are available in two different forms, are part of the technological innovation that is redefining how buildings are designed and built. You may choose multiwall polycarbonate panels, which is a structured sheet with hollow air chambers, or solid polycarbonate, which is a clear, flat sheeting that resembles glass in looks but is much stronger and lighter.

polycarbonate sheetsPolycarbonate Sheets Are Flexible

If a product is lightweight and easy to work with, as polycarbonate plastic sheets are, it’s going to be popular with architects and clients. That’s because installation is going to be smoother as well, causing less disruption for the client and the workplace. When time is saved, money is saved. The flexibility of polycarbonate sheets has already won over clients who manufacture farming machinery, windshields, security screens, and moving machinery parts. Polycarbonate sheets actually bend, making them so much more versatile than glass. If you have an arching roof, a larger polycarbonate sheet is particularly well suited. The larger the size of the sheet, the greater is the bend’s radius. Read all about the advantages of polycarbonate roofing sheets.

Polycarbonate is hardened so that its strength is 200 times that of glass but only half as heavy. And yet, polycarbonate sheets are virtually unbreakable. It’s plain to see why architects choose polycarbonate sheets to work with.

The Danpal Ventilated Rain System (VRS) Uses Polycarbonate Panels

Danpal’s Ventilated Rain System’s polycarbonate sheets keep insulation dry thanks to the air gap that provides natural ventilation. Keeping insulation dry is a vital consideration in the life span of a building because once insulation is compromised, so is the building, even if problems don’t show up immediately.

By using clear polycarbonate sheets or any other polycarbonate sheet color, you’re giving your building all the protection that it needs in order to be able to fight off weather and prevent moisture from penetrating. You’re benefitting as well, because polycarbonate is one of the most popular materials in the industry.

Danpal Roofing Systems Keep Weather Away From Insulation

Danpal’s motto, Global Vision, Local Focus, explains a lot about how the company does business. They’re leaders in the building industry but they never forget that buildings are for people to use and to live in. Nor do they forget that a building and the people who occupy it are part of a much larger network of human beings who all depend upon the environment in which we all live. With that perspective, it’s easy to understand why Danpal has never been content during its half-century of existence, to just maintain the status quo. At Danpal, research and development are always underway to find ways to make even better products that meet customers’ needs and protect the environment. That concern is part of the reason that Danpal roofing systems are so highly regarded in the industry.

DANPAL ROOFINGROOFING SYSTEMS THAT IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE

That might sound like a lot to ask of a roofing system, but for Danpal, buildings exist to serve the people who live and work in them. One of the ways that a Danpal roofing system improves the quality of life is because of the way it incorporates natural light into the interior of the building. Danpal has pioneered the innovative concept of daylighting architecture and with that innovation, buildings feature natural light. Natural light is important for everyone and having it inside a building is another way that the roofing system enhances the quality of life for the people who occupy it. The workspace nurtures a more productive environment for the occupants both in terms of their tasks and their wellbeing.

A ROOFING SYSTEM THAT PROTECTS INSULATION

The key factor in your building’s performance is maintaining the integrity of its insulation. If weather invades and moisture manages to penetrate the exterior of your building, the result is a reduction in the insulation of the insulation, a loss of energy efficiency, the threat of mold and the potential collapse of the building. When you consider all the things that could happen if insulation is compromised, it’s easy to understand why Danpal roofing systems are so adept at protecting it. The panels in a Danpal roofing system have a unique cell structure that enables them to deliver more efficient thermal insulation. This improved efficiency is confirmed by the improved “U” and “R” values.

HOW DANPAL ROOFING SYSTEMS WORK

If weather were easier to get along with, roofing systems could relax. But as long as the skies open up to release torrential downpours or blinding snowstorms, hail and winds, roofing systems must be vigilant. Fortunately for buildings, Danpal roofing systems are made with microcell technology. The microcell structure offers high resistance to impact, standing seams, and a double-tooth grip lock connection. That’s the kind of force that’s required for a roofing system to prevail against weather. The roofing system’s Danpalon panels are designed to maintain the integrity of the roof for well into the future because of their co-extended UV protection.

There’s less aggravation when it comes to working with and installing a Danpal roofing system. Because the system uses snap-on, dry-glazed connectors made of aluminum or polycarbonate, they’re light in weight and flexible. The ease of installation means that less time has to be spent in the process, something that clients will appreciate because it means there’s less inconvenience involved.

Skylight Roofing Captures Daylight

As the weather begins to change from cold, chilly winter to warmer spring, we all try to spend as much time outside as we possibly can. For everyone who lives in the climate zones where snow, cold winds and ice are a feature of daily existence for three to four months of the year, spring is like the call of the siren. We want to go outside and enjoy the beauty of nature, the fragrant breezes, and most of all, the daylight. But we can’t, because we have to stay inside to work. Once we get home, we’re so busy with household tasks and family needs that the day seems to escape from us. Maybe that’s why skylight roofing is so popular; it’s a way to capture some of that daylight even though we’re inside. Danpal skylight roofing, with the famed daylighting architecture that Danpal has pioneered, is one way to hold onto as much natural light as possible, even when inside.

SKYLIGHT ROOFING BRINGS IN MORE LIGHT

If you think that you feel better in natural light, you’re not imagining it. Studies have proven what we already now: we like the light! We’re more productive in natural light; we feel better about ourselves; our attitude is more positive. We need artificial light, too, but there’s just nothing like the natural light and with skylight roofing, that natural light is present inside your living space or work space.

Skylight Roofing THE COMPATIBILITY OF SKYLIGHT ROOFING WITH OTHER ROOFING TYPES

You’ll be glad to learn that whether your existing roof is concrete or profiled metal, skylight roofing is easy to install. Danpal’s roofing systems are customizable so that they can vary in length and size; this makes them easy to integrate and connect into place. What does this mean for the customer? Less time and effort during the installation process equals less inconvenience and less cost.

SKYLIGHT ROOFING IS STRONG ENOUGH FOR THE WORST WEATHER

Danpal uses microcell technology because it’s so strong. Weather is a fierce foe but a building has to be able to withstand the forces of nature, whether it’s the powerful rainstorms that send water flooding from the skies, or harsh winter snows and winds. There’s no way to avoid weather, so the only solution is to design buildings that are strong enough to handle it. That’s why microcell technology, with its resistance to the damage that weather can do, is such an asset for skylight roofing. And Danpal skylight roofing also has UV protection, because even those hot, sunny days that we love can be hard on a roof if it’s not protected.

Polycarbonate Plastic Roof Panels Are Designed For Strength, Beauty, And Energy Efficiency

Danpal’s Options for Clear Plastic Roof Panels

For over 50 years, Danpal has been in the forefront of creating and installing innovative roofing systems solutions that offer optimal thermal and solar comfort. Giving you the option of choosing from skylights, roofs, facades and more, Danpal is the choice for your Skylight solutions.

Polycarbonate Plastic Roof Panel and Weather

You might think that the weather has it in for roofs. After all, the roof is the first target for rain, snow, and all the rough elements that pour out of the sky like they’re sent on an aerial mission to destroy. That just means that the roofing you select needs to be strong enough to handle the attack. Plastic roofing, thanks to the overall strength and quality of its design, as well as the quality of the materials that are used to create the roofing system, can be relied upon to withstand weather and offer high-impact resistance. Plastic roofing also offers protection against the effects of the sun. We don’t always consider the effects of sunlight on a building, but Danpal’s polycarbonate roofing panels offer UV protection so that the roof remains in good condition for a longer period of time.

The Benefits of Light with Plastic Roofing

The roof on top of a building has a powerful effect on everything that’s underneath, and this is where the combination of plastic roofing and light works to such a winning advantage. Every space in the building needs light in order to be fully functional. Polycarbonate roofing allows the light to enter, balancing it so that it’s emitted in just the right amounts. Natural light adds much to our living space, and it also provides a boost for us as well.

polycarbonate plastic roof panel

Easy Installation of Plastic Roofing Systems

Plastic roofing is light in weight and won’t put undue pressure on the structure. Working with lightweight materials makes installation smooth and easy, saving time and money because the work happens so effortlessly. But don’t worry; lightweight doesn’t mean weak. Polycarbonate roofing is strong.

Polycarbonate Roofing is a Plus for the Environment

Danpal, committed to thinking both globally and locally, maintains a high regard for sustainability and protecting the environment. That’s why indoor air quality is a high priority for the company. What affects Danpal customers affects the world, because Danpal, which operates on five continents, knows that the globe is home to all of us.

How Polycarbonate Plastic Roof Panels Handle Stress

You might never have thought of the effects of stress on roofs, but plastic roofing systems are particularly adept at handling stress. Polycarbonate is widely recognized for its incredible strength, and that’s an important feature when you consider what a roof has to endure. Danpal’s plastic roof systems are designed so that they can maintain their intrinsic durability even while enduring the extremes of fierce heat and intense cold. Snow is heavy and rain can be destructive, but those clear plastic roof panels are up to the challenge. Clear plastic panels may not look like the most imposing building material on the market, but don’t be deceived by looks. Consider their properties and you’ll better understand how much more protection they offer than more traditional roofing systems.

Trust Polycarbonate Clear Plastic Sheet To Enhance Structural Integrity

It’s puzzling for some to understand how simple clear plastic sheets made of polycarbonate, one of the most lightweight of all the roofing materials on the market, can make good on its promise of superior strength. After all, polycarbonate is twice as light in weight as a similarly sized glass panel, and these clear plastic roof panels weigh less than a metal roof. But there’s no hiding place in a clear plastic sheet. The strength is there. Architects know that when they design a building, they can count on polycarbonate to actually improve its structural integrity. The low weight of polycarbonate ensures that plastic roofing material places less stress upon the support beams and walls. Consider how this would affect a structure such as a greenhouse, whose walls are traditionally made of glass. But if the design employs clear plastic roof panels made of polycarbonate, not glass, there’s less stress upon the greenhouse walls. That leads to a longer life span for the greenhouse. Less money spent on roof repairs means more money can be spent on plants!

Calculating The Cost Savings That Come With Polycarbonate Plastic Roof Panels

Buildings are a major investment. There’s the cost of the architect whose design is the inspiration for the project. There are the building materials which comprise the structure’s actual construction. But what about shipping? You can see how shipping costs for a plastic roof system would be much more affordable than roofing that’s made of metal. When you calculate the delivery costs of lightweight plastic roofing material, plus the reduced time that it takes for workers to install it, you can see what we mean when we promise you that a Danpal plastic roof system is an investment that will save you money in the long run!

Choose A Roofing System That Meets Your Needs and Your Budget

When you’re a global company like Danpal, with branches on five continents, you understand the geography of roofing systems a little bit more than most companies because your structures have roofs, too! Danpal’s fifty years of experience show the results of the company’s commitment to research and development. These results have produced the kind of technological advances that have taken roofing systems to twenty-first century levels of innovation. Our clients rely on us to provide the most current, up-to-date products available so that their structures will benefit from that technological edge that Danpal delivers. We’re confident that we can help you choose the right roofing system that’s designed for your region’s climate as well as your personal budget.

Where In The World Is Your Weather?

Choosing a roofing system is a vital part of the design process. Your roofing system must be able to protect your building from the threat that external elements like weather can present. If you choose a roofing system that’s made of high-quality materials, you’re going to ultimately save money, because that system will be designed to offer protection for a long time. Remember that roofing systems aren’t all the same, nor should they be. The roofing system that you choose will be one that is geared toward the climate of the region in which your building will stand.

Roofing SystemMatching Your Roofing System With Your Weather

The first point of attack for weather when it strikes is the roof of your building. That’s why your roofing system has to be durable enough to withstand that first onslaught of rain, snow, hail, wind and even the hot sunshine. Every form of weather that we experience has the power to cause damage to a building. But Danpal roofing systems have the power to protect buildings from weather. By preventing leaks from occurring, your roofing system can keep your building dry inside.

Budgeting For the Right Roofing System

An investment like a roofing system can seem like a lot of money. But when you consider that the roofing system that you choose will be protecting your structure from weather damage, leakage, moisture penetration and mold, you realize that the investment is a worthwhile one. But if you think that economizing by choosing a roofing system that’s cheaper will be a bargain, think again. Cut-rate quality means problems down the road, and those problems are going to cost money. Once moisture has invaded the interior of a building, it’s only a matter of time until it begins to cause deterioration. The damage the mold can cause isn’t limited to your building. Mold is a health problem that affects the occupants of a building, particularly people who suffer from allergies or respiratory ailments such as asthma.

Choosing the right roofing system is the first step for creating the building that’s designed to last. Danpal technology and your budget, working together, provide the roofing system that’s right for your climate and your building.

Danpal’s Roofing Systems Are Built To Last

When choosing a roofing system, don’t forget to consider the life span that you want your building to have. A roofing system is a key component in predicting a building’s length of life because the roofing system is so important in protecting the interior of a structure from the threat of weather damage. Danpal boasts roofing systems that are airtight and watertight and 100% leakproof. They’re lightweight and easy to install. They deliver a superior thermal performance, have high-impact resistance, and show off an impressive visual appearance. Our roofing systems have transparency and tonal qualities, flexibility, and a balance of light and thermal dynamics that’s superior in function. We’re eager to tell you more about our Danpal roofing systems and we know you’ll like what you’re hearing.

roofing systemRoofing Systems That Deliver Daylight

You might not expect a roof to be a primary source of natural light, but that’s because you may not know that Danpal is a pioneer in the art of daylighting techniques. The ribs of our roofing are made with tight spacing; this allows an impressive quality of light to come in, altering the appearance and improving the atmosphere of your internal building.

How Danpal Roofing Systems Work

Danpal roofing is a dry-glazed translucent system that can be installed either above or below different types of structures, depending upon the specific engineering and design requirements. The dry-glazed connectors are made of polycarbonate or aluminum, both renowned for their strength. Danpal’s Microcell technology is specifically designed to resist weather over the long term. On a day-to-day basis, a roofing system has to be able to take a beating because weather never lets up. It’s always doing something, and quite often, weather is doing something that’s going to lead to trouble in the future if your roofing system isn’t capable of preventing the damage. Regardless of whether your building is going to be located in a rain-drenched region or a place where winter deals out punishing snow and cold, Danpal roofing systems are ready for whatever comes out of the sky.

You can thank our Danpalon panels for strength that surpasses the ordinary roofing system’s ability to keep weather out. Because of this, the thermal insulation renders more efficiency with better “U” and “R” values. The long life that’s so important for a building is supported by the double-tooth connections that are particularly effective against weather.

Stricter regulations and a stronger adherence to environmental standards have had an effect on roofing. The “R” values of roofing insulation have almost tripled in recent decades. It’s a pleasure to notice how much of an effect we can have when we all work together on behalf of our planet. In the long run, quality makes the difference and that’s where Danpal stands out.

We don’t manufacture cheap, poorly made products. We’ve been in business for half a century and maybe that’s way longevity is so important to us. We understand that buildings should be built to last. That’s the way we make our products.

Skylight Roofing that Suits Your Personal Taste

The more light the better! That’s how most of us feel and Danpal is in complete agreement on that point. That’s why the company, which has been in the business of building for 50 years, has devoted considerable research into developing skylight roofing that satisfies the customer, withstands weather, and maintains environmental sustainability. Danpal’s dry-glaze, translucent systems are available in different designs to suit the dimensions of your building as well as your own personal tastes. The Danpavault Barrel Vault Skylight System is the ultimate in skylight roofing, delivering the perfect balance of light that works best in the workplace and living spaces.

Danpal Skylight Roofing: The Best that Technology Offers

Skylight RoofingBecause Danpal skylight roofing has to be light enough to be flexible but strong enough to handle different weather conditions, the product is naturally versatile. The system’s Microcell technology is what delivers the resistance to weather damage; it’s even resistant to the impact of hail! It’s compatible with all roofing types, so whether skylight roof is intended for metal or concrete, it’s going to be easy to install. Danpal roofing can be customized to suit your preference, so it comes in a wide range of sizes and lengths, another feature that makes installation easier. Another popular feature is the way that the panels slot onto place. With the Danpavault Barrel Vault Skylight System’s ability to e beither self-supporting or placed over a metal structure with aluminum framing options, installation over varyingly sized spans is no problem.

Skylight Roofing and Weather

Weather and the forces of nature are a building’s natural enemy. But with the 100% watertight security of Danpal skylight roofing, buildings stay dry inside because rain and snow aren’t able to penetrate the exterior. The Danpavault System’s extended UV protection and thermal insulation save money for the customer by increasing the life span of the building because it has extra protection. The security of the panels also assures those inside that energy isn’t escaping from within.

Skylight Roofing and Appearance

Danpal knows that when a customer decides to install skylight roofing, the beauty of its appearance is a major reason for the decision. And why not? Who doesn’t like the advantages that natural light brings to the internal environment? Not only does skylight roofing bring the daylight indoors, but it creates an atmosphere of wellness that artificial lighting just can’t duplicate. The tight spacing between the ribs of the panels partners with the light for a look that’s as beautiful as it is comfortable. If you thought glass was transparent, wait until you see the skylight roofing panels, which, in addition to transparency, give you light and flexibility that glass can’t match.

Glass also can’t offer the range of colors that Danpal offers in its skylight roofing. Some people like the subtlety of shades of white, others prefer metallic or bold colors. Your roof will reflect your own preference and the result will be a building that’s unique, energy efficient, and durable. You’ll be very pleased with the results!

Danpal’s Roofing Systems Start At The Top

Any architect will tell you that sitting down to design a building means having one eye on the function of the structure and the other eye on the map. Where a building is located has a lot to do with the choice of materials that will be used in construction and this is particularly true with roofing systems. Danpal, which has been in business for over half a century, knows a lot about the difference that quality products make in the life span of a building. And, since we have a presence on five continents, we also know a few things about geography.

Where In The World Is My Building Going to Be?

Roofing SystemGeography is both local and global and that also works well with the Danpal philosophy. If you are designing a building for a hot dry climate, you’ll choose a different roofing system than you’d select if you’re building for a place where it rains a lot. You’re also building for a neighborhood, so if the other buildings in the area are designed in a particular style, you’re going to want to match the theme.

Wherever you’re building, you want to make sure that your roofing system is made with the highest quality materials. You have a dream and your client has a budget. Bringing those two together to create a structure that fulfills its function and enhances the landscape doesn’t have to be a struggle. Start at the top: start with the right roofing system.

Roofing Systems are Weather Warriors

Even without the geography lesson, we know that weather, wherever you live, has to be reckoned with. Weather strikes a roof first and that’s why a roofing system, which protects the structure below it, must be designed so that it can stand up against the dominant weather of the region. A roofing system needs to be able to multi-task: strong enough to prevent leakage from rain and snow, durable enough to resist high winds, and sturdy enough to withstand hail.

Quality Is The Smart Budget Decision

Sometimes people think that if they cut corners on materials, they’re saving money. Our experts at Danpal can tell you that, if you choose materials of lesser quality for your roofing system, you’ll literally pay the price before too long. Poor quality materials aren’t strong enough to give a roofing system the resistance to weather that a building needs in order to remain in good condition for a long time. Your roofing system represents a substantial investment of time, labor, and money. Doing it right the first time avoids spending more money later to do what should have been done in the first place.

Fortunately, Danpal has been in the forefront of research and development to create high-quality materials for a better, longer-lasting roofing system. The company’s talented engineers and design experts have been at the foundation of what has made Danpal a state-of-the-art leader in roofing systems.

If you have questions about roofing systems, please contact us. We have skilled people on staff who will be able to help you make the right choice for the roofing system that’s ideal for your building.

Your Skylight Roof Lets the Sunshine in

Light is what a skylight is all about and Danpal understands that a skylight roof adds so much to the appeal of a home or building. A skylight roof is a wonderful way to invite the daylight inside a structure so that everyone benefits from the way natural light makes us feel. Some people hesitate when deciding whether or not to add a skylight roof because they worry about its ability to withstand adverse weather. But rest assured that a Danpal skylight roof is designed with durability in mind, something for which our company, which has been creating and installing innovative roofing systems for the last 50 years, can be counted on. Built to last, built to perform, that’s what Danpal products add to construction.

Danpavault Barrel Vault Skylight Systems

At Danpal, we’re proud of the way we’ve been able to engineer a skylight roof that is compatible with all kinds of roofing, including profiled metal or concrete. Our Danpavault Barrel Vault Skylight System combine Danpal’s decades of roofing expertise with easy integration, UV protection and a seamless, even diffusion of natural light that delivers optimum insulation for your building.

Skylight RoofSkylight Roofs Deliver the Sun and Strength

A skylight roof is the architectural way to have the best of both worlds: the comfort of the inside with the natural illumination from outside. There are economic benefits to this blend as well; Danpal skylight roofs offer both thermal and solar comfort, and they do so without cutting corners on structural endurance. Danpal skylight roofs are made with microcell technology to enhance their ability to withstand damage from rough weather, even from hail. Thanks to a 100% watertight composition, rain isn’t going to compromise the integrity of your skylight roof. The rain can’t get inside. Knowing that your skylight roof provides the ultimate in protection from the rough weather conditions makes it easier for you to enjoy the wonderful abundance of natural light that a skylight roof gives you. Imagine spending quality time in a building that invites just the right amount of illumination, under the most ideal of conditions, into your day. In addition, the skylight roof delivers extended UV protection for added defense from the powerful rays of the sun. That’s what the Danpavault system promises.

Skylight Roofs Bring Versatility

If you’re skeptical about a skylight roof and you think it might make the construction process too complicated, think again. Our Danpavault Barrel Vault Skylight Roof System is tailored for versatility. Because our panels come in unlimited lengths, they’re easily integrated into position. The flexibility of the panels makes them easy to install without needing extra effort or labor. The versatility of Danpal engineering connects the unbounded creativity of the architect with the built-in flexibility of the product. Not needing extra effort or work to make the perfect building is liberating for an architect, allowing him to focus on what the building will look like at completion rather than on what reductions he needs to make in order to meet a budget. Budgets love Danpal products because so much more is offered for the money.

Cubby House Challenge

Grimshaw is one of five practices selected to design and build a cubby for the Kids Under Cover 2017 Cubby House Challenge. The five cubbies were auctioned at a VIP event at the 2017 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, raising AUD$ 162,000 for the Kids Under Cover’s Studio Program, an early intervention strategy that helps to prevent youth homelessness.

MySpace, the cubby designed by Grimshaw, fetched AUD$21,000 and was the recipient of the Kids Choice Award, and the Most Imaginative and Interactive Award. We are honored to have been a part of the 2017 Cubby House Challenge.

Cubby HouseThrough MySpace, Grimshaw has reconceptualized the traditional cubby, transforming the rigid building form into one that allows children to create their own space by manipulating various-sized blocks across four levels. How they enter the cubby and arrange the interior is up to them – it is a non-static space that children can make their own and reinvent as they desire.

The moveable blocks have multiple uses to reinforce this sense of ownership and flexibility. They can be used to fill voids or provide openings, as furniture or storage, and to house secret treasures and trinkets.

Two key workshops were held to develop the concept for MySpace. The first invited children to contribute their ideas of what constitutes the ultimate cubby. A space for flexibility, creativity, and retreat were recurring themes, with orange a popular choice of color.

The second workshop was a design charrette that offered Grimshaw’s architects the opportunity to recall their childhood cubby house dreams. The ideas were harnessed into a single concept with a strong connection to one of the architect’s memories of playing with the wooden crates in his father’s fruit and vegetable warehouse; crates were positioned to create voids to hide in or used as stepping stones to create a flexible oasis akin to a human-scale Lego set.

Cubby HouseThis concept was developed through the ethos of Grimshaw’s architectural practice; strong conceptual legibility, innovation, and a rigorous approach to detailing, all underpinned by the principles of humane, enduring, and sustainable design.
In turn, MySpace has been realized as a bespoke shelter that encourages confidence and creative play while offering a finely crafted installation fit for the most urbane of backyards.

Conceived as an elegant piece of joinery, the cubby’s frame has been built using 75 mm x 75 mm Tasmanian Oak hardwood timber beams. Each member has been machine cut and routed to form a cross profile that integrates horizontal rails, allowing the boxes to be safely and easily maneuvered. With each member dowelled and glue joined to form a rigid connection there are no visible fixings. This ensures that the frame can facilitate safe vertical and horizontal movement and provide railings that may be easily held on to by small hands. Rubber matting is incorporated into the floor as a further safety measure.

The boxes within the cubby are fabricated from pine plywood. Each box is wrapped in high-density foam and then covered with an external-grade colored fabric.

With a translucent polycarbonate façade and roof, MySpace provides a shelter that offers children a sense of concealment while providing visibility to the outside. The polycarbonate exterior cladding system provides a clean façade finish by concealing all screw fixings. To complement the notion of a safe hideout, a yellow periscope peaks out from the roof to allow children to keep watch and observe their surroundings. Page 1 of 2 Lighting is another key feature of the cubby. Our design incorporates LED strip lighting into each internal corner of the frame to illuminate the interior and allow the cubby to ‘glow’ at night.

Grimshaw has worked closely and collaboratively with the builder and suppliers to deliver a cubby that is of the highest quality while offering a reconfigurable space to keep children intrigued – a true team effort for the benefit of the children that may make MySpace their own as well as those whom it may prevent youth homelessness for.

Architect’s Statement

Cubby House 6There was always something exciting about creating your own cubby house as a kid. Whether stacking cushions from the family sofa, draping bed sheets over the ironing board, or arranging cardboard boxes to form enclosures, it allowed a sense of freedom to create and play, to be the master of one’s universe.

This freedom of creative play is actively explored with MySpace, a cubby house designed by Grimshaw for Kids Under Cover, a not-for-profit organization that raises funds to help prevent youth homelessness.

Through MySpace, we have reconceptualized the cubby, transforming the rigid building form into one that allows children to create their own space by manipulating various-sized blocks over three levels. How they enter the space and arrange the interior is up to them – it is a space they can make their own and reinvent as they desire.

The moveable blocks have multiple uses to reinforce this sense of ownership and flexibility. They can be used to fill voids or provide openings, as furniture or storage, and to house miniature gardens.

Two key workshops were held to develop the concept for MySpace. The first invited children to contribute their ideas of what constitutes the ultimate cubby. A space for flexibility, creativity, and retreat were recurring themes, with orange a popular choice of color.

The second workshop was an in-house design charrette offering our architects the opportunity to recall their childhood cubby house dreams. In keeping with Grimshaw’s architectural practice, the cubby was developed from a strong concept, with the final design resulting from a deep interest in adaptable and flexible architecture and craftsmanship.

MySpace encapsulates childhood aspirations and the desire to empower children through their creative play.

Choosing the Right Roofing System for Your Project

The Right Roofing System Starts at the Top

When designing a building, one of the most important assessments to make is deciding on the best roofing system. With more than half a century in the business of building, Danpal has seen a lot of roofing come and go, and the company’s experience and expertise can make your decision-making a lot easier. Danpal is on the cutting edge of the latest innovations in construction and we’re constantly improving our existing products. Over the years, we’ve developed an industrial polycarbonate roofing system that is both fundamentally sound and energy efficient, as well as esthetically attractive.

Roofing SystemFactors to Consider in Choosing Your Roofing System

An architect surveys his plans like a commander overseeing a battle map. What are the strengths of the opponent? What are the weaknesses of the building? What is the best tactic to defeat the enemy? The roof is the main barrier between the interior of a building and its exterior, and the roof is under constant, daily attack from a formidable enemy. One of the most powerful enemies that a building faces is weather. There’s no escaping it: a roof has no force shield to keep the rain and snow from falling, the wind from blowing, the hail from bombarding, or the sun from beating down. But a roofing system must be able to withstand all of these powerful elements if it is to stand firm against deterioration. Many of us have noticed more and more episodes of extreme weather, as storms in both winter and summer seem to be more potent. These are the factors that remind us of how important it is to choose a roof that is built to last and to protect against weather at its worst.

A Roofing System’s Appearance

Danpal can provide the roofing system that you’re looking for, whether your design is modern or traditional. The design of a roofing system also matters, because it significantly affects the building’s ultimate appearance. The color, texture, and type of roofing all need to be in harmony with the overall style of the building, including its exterior look and finish. The design needs to blend; clashing styles make the entire building appear to have been rushed to completion without forethought for how it would look when it was constructed.

Roofing and the Environment

As regulations become stricter, new rules are redefining the kinds of roofing systems that can be used, particularly concerning coatings, sealants, and adhesives. Recent decades have witnessed a dramatic evolution in the kinds of roofing materials available, thanks to technological advances. While traditional materials remain popular, newer materials such as polycarbonate are rapidly becoming the favorite because of their durability, flexibility, and their energy efficiency. As the environment has become more of a concern, the move to use environmentally friendly materials has rapidly gained momentum. At Danpal, we know that your roof is part of your building, and your building is part of the wider world. Keeping everything in balance is what makes a building a success.

Aim High with a Danpal Skylight Roof

Skylight Roof Weather Protection

Once the skylight is in place, there can be no doubt that it will be up to the challenge of resisting the weather. We’ve created our skylight roof systems to be completely watertight, relieving you of any need to worry about leaks. And if you’re concerned that your skylight roof is more vulnerable than a standard roof, rest assured that the built-in strength comes from microcell technology, which empowers an impressively high level of resistance to damage caused by hail and other extreme weather conditions. The microcell technology keeps the skylight roof strong when weather strikes.

You Choose the Color of the Skylight Roof

One of the most popular features of our skylight roof is the range of colors that we offer for all of our products. Whether your preference is for shades of white, metallics, or bold and brilliant colors, the hardest decision you make might just be which one, from so many possibilities, is the right one for your skylight roof.

The pros and cons of installing skylights

When you are designing a building, there are so many different variables that you have to consider. Even the tiniest of features needs to be thoroughly thought out, exploring the different options in terms of the materials to use, the design of the materials, the colour, the price and how this feature will fit in with the rest of the structure.

This is why the top design professionals can charge the big bucks, they know how to manage all of these variables and come out with an end product that is pleasing in all aspects.

One decision that is difficult to make a lot of the time is whether or not you should install architectural skylights into the building you are designing.

They are such an aesthetically pleasing way in which you can allow a lot more natural light enter into a building, but they also come with some drawbacks that you need to account for. At Danpal, the team is experienced in which situations are suited to skylights and at which times it is best to avoid using them.

Pros

The space will look larger

If the space you are designing is small or there is going to be a lot of activity in it, skylights are a great way of giving the illusion of there being more space. It makes the ceiling look as if it is wider and the sunlight and moonlight will be able to fill up the room. This will relax the mind and make the room a lot more visually appealing, as it won’t appear to be as cramped.

Potential for solar heating

When the sun is shining through the skylights, there will be a natural heat coming through that will help somewhat to warm up a room. By using quality skylights, such as the Danpavault system provided by Danpal, you can achieve great thermal insulation and extended UV protection, which will keep the inhabitants and contents of the space in great condition.

Cons

Potential problems if you don’t use a trusted system

When it comes to skylights, you have to ensure that you are going for quality rather than trying to save costs. By utilising subpar skylights, you may experience leaks over time, which will cause damage to the space and all of its contents.

The Danpal Danpavault system

danpalThe Danpavault system is one of the best types of commercial skylight systems that is on the market today.

No matter what your need is, this skylight will be able to solve it. They are of an unlimited length, so they can be easily integrated with all different roof types.

When it comes to installation, this system is very flexible. You can have them self-supporting or alternatively you may decide to have them installed over a metal structure. There are also additional options that you can decide to implement through aluminium framing, such as bars, connectors or spacers.

The special nature of the Danpavault’s structure means that light is evenly diffused, which leads to long term durability, as well as effective thermal insulation and UV protection.

Finally, the structure is extremely resistant to high impacts and damage from hail, so you don’t have to worry about these factors if the structure is located in a particularly turbulent climate.

Solar and Thermal Planning for New Building

Solar and thermal planning for new building is essential in today’s energy market. Home owners and business owners have a vested interest in orienting their buildings – including location of doors, windows and energy creation – to make best use of local daylight and thermal conditions. Of course, this is going to vary from climate to climate, and geographical location. But some things will remain constant.

These include changing of the sun’s angle by season, thermal gain due to sunlight on glass, and the need for shading options during seasons or in locations where strong sunlight is the rule. Locations that have seasons with extremely short daylight hours interspersed with extremely long daylight hours, that have little or no natural shade or that have a great deal of natural shade will require special treatment.

With that said, Danpal building materials have a great deal to offer owners who are erecting new buildings. One viewer, upon seeing the Danpal website with its catalog of transparent, translucent and opaque building panels said, “Hey, look! It is the Earthship concept all grown up and made beautiful!” Indeed, the Danpal materials embrace ideas and research from earlier energy conscious builders.

Facade Materials for Solar and Thermal Planning in New Building

Solar and Thermal PlanningFirst of all, there is recognition of the need for façade materials for solar and thermal planning in new building that work efficiently and esthetically. Controlite is a Danpal system of translucent glazing materials with internal louvres that constantly adjust, allowing adjustment to a comfortable, no-glare interior that makes efficient use of natural sunlight. An easy-to-install facade solution is Danpatherm, a factory assembled unit that incorporates excellent thermal properties with tensile strength that can resist wind and dirt penetration. During the day, it functions as a wall panel that emits natural light.

Fitted with LED lighting, at night it works as a light box. The combination ensures pleasant lighting at all times. Finally, there are the Danpal translucent façade panels. These combine light weight with tensile strength; weather resistance with ease of installation. They come in a variety of colors and styles, enabling mixing and matching for unique external building designs; in addition, they provide excellent solar and thermal protection, admitting light while blocking harmful UV rays and managing thermal gain.

Combined with a lightweight metal framing system, they are a highly secure means of admitting natural light, and creating an attractive nighttime display of light and color without compromising privacy.

Transparent and Translucent Roofing

Second, Danpal transparent and translucent roofing panels create a constructive, incredibly beautiful answer to the architectural question of how to make skylights – a superb way to get natural lighting into a building – secure and weather resistant. Incorporating the same tough materials and practical building options as the façade materials, Danpal roofing can bring daylight to any room or area that is on the top floor of a building. Furthermore, because it is roofing, rather than an inset window panel, visual interest is achieved by organization and arrangement of the roof supports. For those who would love to look at the stars while falling asleep, without the inconvenience of wind, rain, dust and insects, this is the ideal solution. As for that old movie cliché of falling through the skylight, Danpal polycarbonate roofing systems are designed for a wide variety of weather conditions and are impact resistant.

Shading, for When the Sun is Too Much

Solar and Thermal PlanningFinally, Danpal panels include shading solutions for solar and thermal planning in new building. Sunlight is marvelous for lighting rooms or even for thermal heating solutions, but there are times when enough is enough, and sunlight simply isn’t welcome. For those areas, Danpal translucent louvered shades are the perfect solution. They can be adjusted by the user, and can be set for a broad variety of effects. They come in a wide range of colors. Their jewel tones are not dissimilar to those of a stained glass window – just not quite as ornate. More importantly for the modern user, the panels can be adjusted to that just-right lighting for a particular interior. They shade without gloom, and admit the right amount of natural daylight for that uplifting feeling that comes only from sunlight.

The Danpal systems are designed for efficiency, security and beauty. They can be used for basic Frank Lloyd Wright building styles or incorporated into older or newer types of architecture. With these versatile panels, with their wide array of colors, their unique thermal properties and their modern building systems only the builders’ imagination will limit their applications.
